LOCAL MYTHS # 2: Lands in the seam
"LOCAL MYTHS # 2: Lands in the Seam," an exhibition that invites us to read contemporary landscapes through art, with questions about who defines the meaning of the land, the watercourse, and the future of the communities we live in.
In a world facing changes from ongoing economic, political and environmental crises, the term "seam" no longer refers to just a dividing line on the map, but becomes an area of transition, uncertainty and bargaining between man, nature, power and development.
After the LOCAL MYTHS project,# 1Exploring this "background beauty," the exhibition moves from looking at its "roots" to exploring the "movement" of land, watercourses, memories, and identities that are constantly being changed.
Inside the exhibition are nine collections of artists' works including: Schlit Sabhaddi, Preecha Love Stacking and Vajrent Sindavat, Nutapallius White Needle, Th.Da.Lap, Thannan Bright Mind, Hillbilly Cultural Arts Collaboration, Artspace Recognition Farm, Sudarabhadra Teja, Appendix: Society and Accidence × Sridonchai Weavers, each of which raises contemporary issues from real spaces across the country and transmits them through a variety of media including sculpture, video, textiles, art, layout, information work and works open to our participation.
The exhibition takes us through connected stories ranging from the Reed River contaminant problem, the Rare Earth mining, the impact of state policy on the Weng Nong area, the transformation of the riverside ecosystem, to the Lanna people's hair beliefs, vernacular mythology, and long-term community collaboration; all works suggest that the "landscape" is not just a physical space, but is made up of memories, cultures, lifestyles, and power structures that are always changing.
The exhibition allows us to question the world we live in through the stories of land, water, and people from different regions before inviting us back to review what kind of joints we are standing on and how we can contribute to these changes.
Because every area has a hidden story, and every "joint" reflects the relationship between man, nature and power in different ways, and then we look at the world through the eyes of the artist and question the land we live in at the "LOCAL MYTHS # 2: Land in the joint."

การได้ชม "LOCAL MYTHS #2 : ดินแดนในรอยต่อ" ทำให้ผมเห็นภาพของความเปลี่ยนแปลงรอบตัวที่ลึกซึ้งกว่าผิวเผิน นิทรรศการนี้รวบรวมผลงานศิลปะจากศิลปินหลายภาคส่วนที่นำเสนอเรื่องราวรอยต่อระหว่างธรรมชาติ มนุษย์ และอำนาจในรูปแบบใหม่ๆ ที่สะท้อนปัญหาสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เกิดขึ้นจริง สิ่งที่น่าประทับใจคือการหยิบยกประเด็นที่ดูเหมือนทั่วไปอย่างเช่นการเปลี่ยนแปลงของแม่น้ำกก หรือผลกระทบจากการทำเหมืองแร่ มาเล่าใหม่ผ่านงานวิดีโอ ประติมากรรม และสิ่งทอต้องใจ ทำให้ผมรู้สึกใกล้ชิดและเข้าใจถึงความสำคัญของแต่ละพื้นที่และชุมชนมากขึ้นว่า พื้นที่เหล่านี้ไม่ใช่แค่จุดบนแผนที่ แต่เต็มไปด้วยเรื่องเล่าที่ผูกพันกับชีวิตผู้คนและสิ่งแวดล้อม นอกจากนี้ งานศิลปะยังเปิดพื้นที่ให้ผู้ชมได้มีส่วนร่วมและคิดต่อว่า เราจะมีบทบาทอย่างไรในการรักษาหรือเปลี่ยนแปลง "รอยต่อ" ที่เราอาศัยอยู่ ซึ่งเป็นประสบการณ์ที่ทำให้ผมกลับมาทบทวนบทบาทของตัวเองในสังคมอย่างลึกซึ้ง ถ้าคุณสนใจศิลปะที่ไม่ใช่แค่ความงามภายนอก แต่ทำให้เกิดความรู้สึกคิดและตั้งคำถามต่อตัวเองและสังคม นิทรรศการนี้เป็นเรื่องราวที่คุณไม่ควรพลาด ด้วยการนำเสนอที่หลากหลายและลึกซึ้ง ทำให้ LOCAL MYTHS #2 เป็นพื้นที่สำคัญในการเรียนรู้และเข้าใจความซับซ้อนของผืนดินและชุมชนในยุคปัจจุบัน
