Top things to do at the most ICONIC resort in the Bahamas 🐠🇧🇸✨✈️
I spent an entire week at the stunning @AtlantisBahamas k the time to experience everything it has to offer. The resort is massive, with endless activities to choose from, everything from one of the world’s largest open-air marine habitats to chef-driven restaurants, live shows, thrilling water attractions, wine and food festivals, and so much more 🌎🌴
We were invited out to the fourth annual Nassau Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival, which brings together globally recognized chefs to highlight Caribbean flavors alongside international cuisine.
🌮 Day 1 - Tacos & Tequila featuring Chef Simon & Chef Aaron Sanchez
🌺 Day 2 - A Taste of Paradise hosted by Tom Colicchio
🍗 Day 3 - Jerk Jam hosted by Chef Johnson and Chef Antonia
The festival isn’t just about great food, it’s a chance to learn about different culinary traditions, techniques, and the cultural roots behind each dish. From Caribbean jerk cooking to modern fine dining, every event offered something unique.
⭐ Overall, it was an incredible experience that blended travel, education, and food culture all in one place.
While my week at Atlantis Bahamas was largely centered around the incredible Nassau Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival, I quickly discovered that this iconic resort offers an unparalleled array of 'fun things to do' at any time of year! It’s truly a destination where adventure, food, and music blend seamlessly, just like the whispers I heard while exploring. If you're heading to Atlantis, the Aquaventure Water Park is an absolute must-do. Forget your average water slides; here, you can literally slide through a tunnel surrounded by sharks – it's an exhilarating rush and definitely not for the faint of heart! Beyond the thrilling drops, I loved just floating along the Rapids River, a not-so-lazy river experience that has you navigating waves and currents. There are also plenty of pools for relaxing, from family-friendly zones to quieter adult-only retreats, ensuring everyone finds their perfect spot to splash or unwind. Another highlight was exploring the world-class marine habitats. The Dig, an immersive underground aquarium, makes you feel like you're walking through the lost city of Atlantis itself, surrounded by fascinating aquatic life. It's an incredible experience for all ages, offering a close-up look at everything from sharks and stingrays to exotic fish. I could spend hours just watching the manta rays glide by, completely mesmerized by their grace! It truly brings the wonders of the ocean to your fingertips. While the festival showcased special culinary talents, Atlantis boasts a diverse culinary scene year-round. From casual beachside eats to elegant fine dining, there’s truly something for every palate. I even saw some incredible 'underwater themed' dining options that looked absolutely magical – perfect for a special evening. Don't miss trying some local Bahamian flavors too; fresh seafood is always a winner here, and the resort offers a fantastic array of 100 foods, wines, and spirits to satisfy any craving. Beyond the water and food, there are so many more 'fun things to do.' Catching a live show, trying your luck at the casino, or simply strolling through the beautiful grounds and enjoying the stunning architecture are all part of the Atlantis experience. For first-timers, I'd suggest grabbing a resort map early – this place is massive! And remember to pack plenty of sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes. Whether you're seeking high-octane adventure or serene relaxation, Atlantis truly has it all.
