... Read moreAttending FoodieLand San Diego was a truly indulgent experience that every foodie should try at least once. I went with a group to sample a wide variety of dishes, which I highly recommend because sharing means you can taste more without feeling overly stuffed. One surprising standout was the Bone Marrow, which literally melts in your mouth with a rich flavor, although the green onions paired with it felt a bit too salty for my taste. The Banana Caramel Pudding was perfectly creamy and hit the right sweet notes, making it a must-get dessert after savoring savory options like the Soft Shell Crab Taco wrapped in crispy seaweed. Despite my excitement, the Big Baby Bottle Lemonade was a bit underwhelming, showing how even highly Instagrammable items can fall short on flavor. I also discovered something unique with the Garlic Lemon Pepper Corn Ribs, packed with Cajun zest and drizzled with Old Bay sauce — a delightful mix of spicy and tangy that surprised me. The Supreme Lumpia Bucket was fun with unlimited refills, but the chips with toppings felt a little too salty to fully enjoy. Don’t miss the Hawaiian Honey Cone, reminiscent of nostalgic corn puff cereal flavors, which I easily ranked as my second favorite. For drinks, the Strawberry Passion Mist from Cream & Soda was refreshing, though probably best enjoyed in moderation as I learned from double-fisting it! For a cheesy finish, the Rainbow Grilled Cheese was delightful, and ending with the Creamy Sea Urchin Udon rounded out the meal nicely, though I wished for a bit more richness in flavor. If you’re heading to the event, purchasing tickets online in advance is a must, and remember kids under five get in free, making it a family-friendly outing. Parking is paid and rideshare is encouraged to avoid hassle. Overall, FoodieLand San Diego offers a diverse and vibrant food adventure with something for every palate. Planning a visit before May 3rd will let you explore these flavors yourself and create your own rating list — just be ready to bring friends and share the tasting journey!
