Yoyo Chicken 🐔
Overall rating:7 /10
Hey everyone! 👋 So I finally got around to trying Yoyo Chicken in Bellmore, NY, after hearing some buzz about it. I was craving a good fried chicken sandwich, and their menu looked promising. I decided to get a couple of items to really get a feel for the place, especially since I saw photos of their delicious-looking spreads. First up, I ordered their classic fried chicken sandwich. It came nicely packaged in a white takeout container, which is always a plus for freshness. The chicken itself was a decent size, and the breading had that perfect golden-brown, crispy texture I love. Inside, the chicken was juicy, not dry at all. The bun was soft, and the toppings (lettuce, pickles, a special sauce) complemented it well without overpowering the star of the show. It was a solid sandwich, definitely a contender in the local chicken sandwich scene. I also couldn't resist trying one of their beef burgers. I went for the classic beef burger with cheese and onions. Again, it arrived in that convenient takeout container, alongside my chicken. The patty was juicy and flavorful, and the melted cheese added a nice richness. The onions were perfectly caramelized, giving it a sweet and savory kick. It wasn't the most gourmet burger I've ever had, but for a casual spot, it hit the spot and was surprisingly satisfying. And of course, what's a fried chicken and burger joint without good sides? I opted for the waffle fries, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! They were served with a generous portion, perfectly seasoned, and had that ideal crispy exterior with a fluffy interior. They were definitely a highlight of the meal. I also heard they have great boneless tenders or pieces, which I didn't get this time, but they looked fantastic in some of their other meal combos. Overall, my experience at Yoyo Chicken in Bellmore, NY, was pretty good. I'd rate it a solid 7/10. The food arrived hot and fresh, and portions were generous. The fried chicken sandwich was tasty, the burger was a pleasant surprise, and those waffle fries were addictive! While it might not be a five-star dining experience, it's a fantastic option for a casual, satisfying meal when you're in the mood for some classic comfort food. It's definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're in the area and looking for a reliable, tasty takeout option. I'd probably go back to try those boneless tenders next time!
