🌾 Blessed Are the Meek
“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” — Matthew 5:5
Sometimes it’s not the loud ones that carry the real strength... it’s the quiet souls holding it together when life keeps trying to rip them apart.
It’s the ones who smile while drowning. The ones who show up to serve while secretly fighting to survive.
People praise your strength, but they don’t see the shaking hands behind it.
They don’t see the sleepless nights, the silent prayers, the tears you wipe before anyone notices.
You’ve been strong for so long that no one even checks to see if you’re okay anymore.
Truth is… you’re not.
You’re tired.
You’re breaking in places you don’t even have words for.
You’ve been fighting battles that don’t have medals ...only scars.
And yet ...here you are. Still standing. Still breathing. Still trying.
Maybe that’s what Jesus meant.
“Blessed are the meek…” — not the perfect. Not the polished. Not the ones who always get it right.
But the ones who still choose faith when everything around them is falling apart.
The ones who whisper “God, I still believe” when their heart is whispering “I’m done.”
You may feel unseen, unheard, undone. . but God calls you blessed.
He sees you holding it together with duct tape and prayer.
He sees you showing up empty and still giving love.
He sees the anxiety, the exhaustion, the guilt, the heartbreak ...and He’s not disappointed.
He’s close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
Sometimes “meek” looks like surviving what should’ve destroyed you.
Sometimes it looks like sitting in a hospital waiting room, praying for peace while chaos rages.
Sometimes it looks like fighting to believe when nothing’s working.. . when bills are due, when hope feels like a stranger .... and still saying, “God, have Your way.”
So this is your reminder:
You do not have to be strong all the time ... because I’m not.
You don’t have to perform for peace .... because I’m tired of doing that.
You can lay it all down ... the fear, the resentment, the exhaustion....and rest.
Because I’m trying to as well.
Rest knowing that meekness isn’t weakness... it’s surrender.
It’s trusting that even when you’re at your breaking point, God’s not letting go.
God… please don’t let me go.
Because I’m teeter-tottering that line.
And yet, I still believe You will catch me before I fall apart completely.
Because the meek don’t just survive the storm..
they inherit what the storm tried to steal.
Reminder:
You are not failing.
You are feeling.
You are not lost.
You are becoming.
God is not punishing you — He’s positioning you.
Even when it feels like your world is collapsing, Heaven is still moving on your behalf.
Keep breathing. Keep believing. Keep being gentle with yourself.
Even when you’re tired, you’re still chosen.
Even when you’re empty, you’re still enough.
As I encourage myself, I pray I do the same for you.
