I’ve poured out a lot this week — cooking, serving, hosting, holding space, being present —

and today, my body tapped me gently and said, “Sis… breathe.”

So I’m listening.

And for the record:

Needing rest isn’t a sign of age.

It’s a sign of awareness.

A sign of wisdom.

A sign of emotional intelligence.

I’m 46 years young, still evolving, still becoming.

I age intentionally.

I move gracefully.

I protect my peace like it’s a full-time job with benefits.

Old is a mindset — and my mind is vibrant, disciplined, and covered by God’s hand.

I honor my body so it can honor me back.

I honor my mind so it can keep me grounded, sharp, and purposeful.

Today isn’t about slowing down because I’m worn out.

It’s about slowing down because longevity requires strategy.

If I want to live well, love well, serve well, and rise well…

then rest is part of the assignment.

If you’ve been pouring into everyone else this week,

consider this your permission to recharge too.

Rejuvenation isn’t indulgence.

It’s maintenance.
