Learning to Stay ✨
I think one of the hardest parts of this journey was learning how to move with the ebbs and flows.
At first,
I didn’t even understand there would be ebbs and flows.
I thought once I felt connected,
once I touched peace,
once I finally found clarity within myself—
that I would somehow stay there forever.
So when the doubt returned…
when the heaviness returned…
when the confusion or insecurity resurfaced…
I immediately thought something was wrong with me.
I thought I was failing.
Falling backwards somehow.
Losing the connection I had fought so hard to find.
But over time,
this journey started teaching me something deeper.
Those moments were not separate from the becoming.
They were part of it too.
And honestly,
learning not to judge myself during those seasons became one of the deepest lessons of all.
Because there was nothing wrong with me for struggling.
Nothing wrong with me for having days where I questioned everything.
Nothing wrong with me for feeling disconnected sometimes.
Those moments were sacred too.
Not because they felt beautiful while I was inside them—
but because they were real.
This journey was never just about the highs.
It was also about learning how to stay with myself through the lows without abandoning myself there.
Learning how to keep breathing through uncertainty.
How to remain gentle with myself when clarity disappeared for a while.
How to stop treating every hard season like proof that I had lost my way.
Somewhere between the rising and the falling,
the ebb and the flow,
the returning waves of this journey—
I learned I could survive myself.

From my own experience, learning to navigate the ups and downs of life is truly transformative. At first, I used to believe that once I reached a state of peace or clarity, I would never lose it. But reality often brings back moments of doubt, confusion, or disconnection, challenging that belief. It's important to recognize that these cycles are natural and essential parts of growth. Rather than seeing difficult emotions as failures, I’ve found it helpful to treat them as signals inviting deeper self-compassion and understanding. For instance, when feeling overwhelmed, grounding myself with mindfulness practices such as deep breathing or journaling helps me stay connected to the present moment. Being gentle with oneself during hard seasons rather than harshly judging or abandoning oneself is a practice that has made all the difference in sustaining emotional resilience. One valuable lesson I've learned is that the process of 'becoming' includes both highs and lows—they're inseparable components of a fuller human experience. In embracing vulnerability, I allow myself to fully feel whatever arises, whether it's insecurity or heaviness. These moments, though uncomfortable, are sacred because they reflect authenticity and growth. Over time, this mindset shift has helped me not only survive but thrive through returning waves of uncertainty. If you’re also navigating this journey, remember: there is strength in staying present with yourself throughout all phases. Trust that even when clarity seems to vanish, your inherent worth remains intact. Adopting this compassionate approach nurtures lasting inner peace and builds a resilient foundation to face future challenges.
