This trip we choose to rent a car through Trip.com because we compare the price with a direct reservation, the price is quite good, and we choose to rent it with Nippon Rent A Car, a familiar and reliable Japanese company.

The car we got was a Toyota Yaris with two large suitcases.

The cost of the Japanese Expressway is really strong, but the road is good and saves a lot of time.

Before traveling, we go to make a universal driver's license through the wallet app. Very convenient. On the day of the car pick-up, the officer requests to see the passport and universal driver's license. Then ask more about insurance and ETC cards for use on the expressway. My favorite thing is that there is a form to fill in through the tablet and also in Thai.

Important!! We choose to buy more insurance with the car rental company directly, because according to the search, if you buy through a middleman, when there is a problem, you may need to claim through another insurance company. The car rental company may let us contact through Agent itself.

🚗 hard to drive in Japan?

For us, it is not difficult to drive the left lane like Thailand. The road is very good, especially the expressway, but be careful about the speed.

The car also has an accidental lane pedal time warning system. I like this detail very much.

What to study before you go is about traffic lights, especially in cities, some separate lights match the right turn signal separately, we were so confused that we didn't dare to turn. 😅
