Rumors of the iPad mini 8 are being talked about a lot.
Rumors of the iPad mini 8 are being talked about a lot, because it could become the biggest upgrade of the Mini series since its release, with the latest drop of data indicating that Apple is preparing to modernize both the screen, the processing chip, and the connectivity system.
The key highlight was the switch to an OLED screen of about 8.7 inches, providing crisper colors, deep black, and thinner edges. Despite the opportunity to continue with the 60Hz refresh, it was considered a clear visual upgrade compared to its predecessor.
On the performance side, it is rumored that it may come with the A19 Pro chip, or it may move up to the A20 Pro in some currents, providing better support for AI work, with a new Neural Engine that is many times stronger than before. There is also talk of Wi-Fi 7 and 5G allowing faster connections than before.
Another point of interest is the new design that may support waterproof standards for the first time, including a vibrating speaker system through the body, and still support the Apple Pencil for jotting and drawing cables as before.
For the initial price, it is expected to be around US $599 and may be released in the second half of 2026, however, all the information now is still just a rumor and only has to await an official announcement from Apple.
