Found a kitten
Kitten Season is coming and it seems like every year I find a kitty hanging around. I'm keeping an eye out for them, but it's is a gated (I can't get in they can get out) area. So just throwing treats at it and hoping it will go home or warm up to me so I can take it to a vet.
Kitten Season typically peaks during the warmer months when the feline population increases significantly. Stray kittens can often be found alone, and knowing how to handle and care for them is crucial. When approaching a stray kitten, patience is key; use gentle voices and slow movements to avoid scaring them. Providing food can help build trust, and it's essential to use appropriate cat food for nourishment. Additionally, if you successfully lure a kitten closer, consider capturing it safely using a trap. Once you have caught the kitten, a visit to the vet is essential for vaccinations, health checks, and spaying/neutering to prevent further overpopulation. Educate yourself on local animal rescue organizations that can assist with fostering or rehoming these kittens if you cannot keep them.
