If you’ve never read a villainess manhwa before, you know the plot. The girl transmigrates into a novel she was reading as the villainess and now everyone is out to get her.
However THIS one is different in the way that SHE doesn’t want to be there. From the moment she steps foot into the story, all she wants to do is to go back to her own world. I’ve actually never seen this in a manhwa before (says the one who’s just read like 5 of em lol)
If you’ve never read a manhwa before, this is the PERFECT one to start with. There is no duke, crown prince or royal ML—infact he’s a nameless extra (which had me in absolute TEARS😭). The characters are complex, with a rich background, showing that villains infact are not born, but rather created. Everyone had a reason they acted the way they did—or could it be the principle of causality making sure making it so that all of them fulfilled their role?—making them look like people who had no other choice.
I think the novel explained the events in great detail, manhwas usually tend to make it look fast. But anyways it truly was a masterpiece and I devoured it!!

The original review touched on the nameless extra as the male lead – and believe me, it's a brilliant subversion of typical romantasy tropes! It forces Eris, and us as readers, to look beyond titles and status, focusing instead on genuine connection and personality. This narrative choice, coupled with the intricate political intrigue, makes every interaction meaningful. You'll find yourself constantly questioning motives and understanding that villains aren't born, but often created by their circumstances, as the original author beautifully put it. The world-building is another strong point. The story is steeped in historical romantasy, blending grand settings with a touch of magic, especially with the introduction of witches and the concept of defying destiny. The OCR notes mentioned 'knight x lady,' and this dynamic is central, adding layers to the plot beyond just romance. It's truly a rich narrative tapestry where every thread, from the political machinations to the magical elements, feels carefully woven. The art style, as seen on the cover featuring Eris with her distinct white hair and other characters, is stunning and perfectly captures the emotional depth and fantastical elements of the story. The detailed illustrations, especially in critical moments and character expressions, really bring Eris's journey to life. For anyone looking for a completed manhwa that offers a fresh take on the isekai and villainess genres, 'Kill the Villainess' is definitely one to pick up. With 102 chapters, it's a satisfying read that doesn't drag. It's a journey of self-discovery, defying fate, and finding unexpected allies in a world that wants to box you in. If you're tired of predictable plots and want a story where the protagonist genuinely struggles to find her way back – or forward – this manhwa is a true gem. I personally devoured every chapter and highly recommend experiencing it for yourself!
