I recently tried recreating Krystal Bailey's signature makeup look from the Rainbow High series, and it was a thrilling experience to play with layers of indigo and violet shades. What stood out most was the use of rich, multi-dimensional pigments like electric violet, royal indigo, and deep lavender that add a striking depth and shimmer to the eyes. Applying the shimmer strategically — such as placing metallic icy lavender on the inner corners and chrome lilac on the high points of the face — really enhances the overall cosmic editorial vibe. For an easy step-by-step, I recommend starting with a matte deep violet smoke as a base on the outer corner to create a bold cut crease. Then, layering the shimmer shades in the middle of the eyelid and along the temple brings luxury and sparkle. Fluffy, brushed-up berry blackberry brows add a soft but confident framing effect. One trick I found useful is to use a berry-violet black double wing liner to extend the eyes toward the temples, which instantly lifts the look and echoes the drag-eye style showcased in Krystal’s makeup. Finishing with an overlined deep blackberry matte lip and a glossy highlight on collarbones completes the look with a plush, polished finish. This makeup is perfect for anyone wanting to experiment with dramatic and colorful eye art, combining luxury street glam with bold editorial style. The key is to blend carefully and layer pigments to achieve both softness and striking contrasts. Overall, this look not only celebrates vibrant colors but also gives a confident, expressive edge to everyday glam.
