March 18, 2026 National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Species Department Statement of Operation Detention Achievement "Panther Pin" (HKT236F) Old-Age Female Panther, Back Out of Forest Area Conservation Hunting Citizens in Area, Mae Wongg National Park, Diamond Wall Mon, Repeat for the Second Time, Prepare to Elevate Permanent Standard Cage Care for Community Safety, with an Urgent Policy from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on Remedies for Affected Persons
.
The director of the Wildlife Conservation Bureau has revealed that a research and veterinary team from the 12th Conservation Area Administration (Nakhon Sawan) has been following the coordinates from the satellite collar so closely that it successfully detained the Pin tiger last night on March 17. This time, the department considered adjusting the plan from a return to the wild to a transfer to the Huai Shin Wildlife Culturing Station instead.
While Nang Shyabhar Amradit, director of the 12th Conservation Area Administration, said that the initial assessment showed that the Pin tiger reached the age of 13, which is a natural late age, presumably with the physical condition compounded by the usurpation of young tigers, causing it to feed near the community and start hunting. Taking care in a standard place is the most appropriate option, both for the welfare of the tiger itself and for the peace of mind of the people of the area.
.
For the sequence of events, the Pin Tigers began to go out of the forest at the end of February. Although the authorities successfully pushed back to nature on March 4, on March 13, they found that the tigers had returned to hunt eight damaged pigs, so the authorities had to speed up the area to end the conflict between people and wildlife.
On the side, Natural Resources and Environment Minister Suchang Chomodor has instructed the National Park Service to take proactive measures, both strengthening protection lines and supporting community patrol sets, to promote sustainable human-forest coexistence.
The veterinary team will conduct a thorough physical examination and re-evaluation of the behavior of the Pin tiger to plan long-term care at wildlife culture stations and prevent future redundancy.
