📍cleveland, oh
Hey everyone! I recently had the most amazing time exploring Cleveland, Ohio, and I just had to share some of my absolute favorite finds and things to do. If you're planning a trip or just looking for a cool weekend getaway, Cleveland seriously needs to be on your radar. I was so surprised by how much this city offers, from delicious food to unique attractions and vibrant cultural spots. First things first, let's talk about the food scene. I stumbled upon some incredible dining experiences, especially the outdoor dining options near the waterfront. Imagine enjoying a fantastic meal under string lights with the coolest backdrop – I even saw a massive ship, the 'AMERICAN COURAGE', docked nearby under a blue bridge! It creates such a magical evening ambiance. And if you're a foodie like me, you absolutely have to check out the local markets. I found this gem of a deli, 'CZUCHRAJ MEATS', where they had an amazing selection of sausages and fresh cuts. It’s exactly the kind of authentic, local spot that makes a trip memorable. These markets often house a variety of vendors, so you can grab everything from fresh produce to artisanal goods, all under one roof, often in grand, multi-story buildings with stunning glass-domed ceilings. It’s not just shopping; it’s an experience! For sports enthusiasts, Cleveland is a dream! I was lucky enough to catch a baseball game at Progressive Field, home of the Cleveland Guardians (formerly Indians). The atmosphere was electric, with fans cheering and the iconic scoreboard flashing. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a hot dog and a cold drink while watching America's favorite pastime with the city skyline in the background. Even if you're not a huge baseball fan, the energy and camaraderie are infectious, making it a truly fun outing. Beyond food and sports, Cleveland has so many cool places to just wander and discover. The city boasts a rich history and beautiful architecture. Take a stroll through downtown and you'll find everything from historic landmarks to modern art installations. For instance, the grand buildings I mentioned earlier, often with ornate railings and shops, are perfect for an afternoon of exploration. There are also plenty of museums and cultural institutions if you're looking for something more educational. Getting around Cleveland is pretty straightforward, whether you prefer walking in certain districts, using public transport, or driving. I found that planning my day around specific neighborhoods made it easy to hit several spots without too much travel time. Don't forget to look up local events and festivals happening during your visit – Cleveland always has something going on! Overall, my Cleveland adventure was fantastic. It's a city with a lot of heart, offering a diverse array of experiences for every kind of traveler. From enjoying a delicious meal with a view of a massive ship, grabbing some unique deli items, to cheering on a baseball team, Cleveland truly exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to go back and discover even more hidden gems!
