Tattoos I want to get and why
I currently have 8 tattoos that I did myself with an Amazon gun ( do not recommend) and these are some I want to get in the next couple months. I also want to touch up my current ones with a professional. Let me know if you want to see those!
Dreaming up new tattoos is almost as fun as getting them, isn't it? After doing some of my own, I'm all about professional work for my next pieces and touch-ups. It's exciting to think about all the possibilities, especially with so many beautiful styles out there, from delicate fine line work to bold outline tattoos. Let me share some insights and inspirations for the types of tattoos I'm currently eyeing. First up, let's talk about thigh tattoos, particularly back of thigh word tattoos or quote thigh tattoos. I've seen some absolutely gorgeous feminine back of thigh tattoo designs, including charming floral tattoos that wrap around the leg. This area is fantastic for longer quotes or meaningful phrases because it offers a large, relatively flat canvas. Choosing the right font is key here – a flowing script can look incredibly elegant, while a simple, crisp font can be powerfully understated. The back of the thigh is also a great spot because it's easy to conceal for work or formal occasions, and it tends to hold up well over time since it's less exposed to the sun. When picking a quote, think about something deeply personal that resonates with you daily. Healing for larger pieces on the thigh generally goes smoothly, but remember to keep it moisturized and protected from friction. Next on my list are jellyfish leg tattoos. The idea of a jellyfish wrapped around the leg tattoo just captivates me! Jellyfish are such graceful creatures, and their flowing tentacles translate beautifully into a dynamic tattoo design. Placing a large, detailed outline tattoo of a jellyfish with flowing tentacles on the leg, perhaps near the knee or extending down the calf, creates a stunning sense of movement. Symbolically, jellyfish can represent protection, grace, mystery, and even the ability to navigate life's currents. Whether you go for a realistic depiction or a more stylized, intricate leg piece, the results are often mesmerizing. It’s definitely a showstopper that can make for an attractive back of leg tattoo. I'm also really drawn to story-inspired tattoos, like a Beauty and the Beast inspired design. I adore the idea of a minimalist tattoo design featuring a single rose in a bell jar, truly capturing the magic of the story with fine line work. You could also incorporate other subtle elements like a tiny silhouette of Belle reading, or even a delicate enchanted rose with falling petals. These designs can be placed beautifully on an arm, wrist, or even be a delicate hand tattoo. The elegance of Beauty and the Beast tattoos lies in their ability to evoke nostalgia and wonder without needing overly complex details. It’s all about finding that perfect balance between recognition and artistic interpretation. Finally, for something truly special, I'm considering matching bee tattoos for my family. A small, minimalist outline tattoo of a bee is just perfect for this! Bees symbolize community, hard work, sweetness, and family unity – making them an ideal choice for a shared design. We could each get a tiny bee on a wrist, ankle, or even a finger. The beauty of dainty hand tats or small, matching designs is their subtlety and the shared meaning they hold. Just remember that smaller tattoos, especially on areas like the hands or feet, might require touch-ups more frequently due to wear and tear. Always consult with a professional artist to ensure your design is placed optimally for longevity. Finding an artist who specializes in the style you love is crucial for bringing these dream tattoos to life!
