Pics of Christ and what they mean to me 🌸
1. Sometimes we think we have what we love but He’s got something so much bigger and better for us. But we’ve got to let go of what we’re holding onto so we can get what He’s got for us! It’s so much harder than it sounds 😫
2. Give yo mess and ugly to Him. He can handle it.
3. We were promised that we’d never be alone. I have felt this comfort so many times!
4. Healing! This reminds me not only the physical healing but my broken heart, my bad days, my bad attitude, my traumatic experiences, my imperfect self.
5. Although I feel broken and trials are tough, I know they serve me for me to get to a really humble place where I NEED Him, and then He can mold me into a better, new me.
6. He has always been through the veil. Although we can’t see Him, He has always been there. If we could remove the worldly glasses, we’d see Him and our family cheering us on!
7. He’s closer than we realize. I love how this gives me so much perspective!
8. His protection. I am very much of a planner, and things never go my way! 😭 but this helps me remember that my “No’s” in life are His way of protecting me.

It's truly amazing how a single image can spark such profound spiritual reflection, isn't it? For me, these pictures of Christ aren't just art; they're powerful windows into deeper truths that have profoundly guided my faith journey. When I look at the image of Jesus offering a large teddy bear to a child holding a smaller one, it speaks volumes about trust and surrender. It’s a powerful metaphor for letting go – trusting that what God has for us is always bigger and better than what we cling to. I've personally struggled with releasing control, holding onto familiar comforts even when they no longer serve me. This picture vividly reminds me that true liberation comes from surrendering my 'small teddy bears' of security, making space for His immense love and provision. Another impactful image, where a small figure gives a tangled, messy ball of thoughts to a large, comforting hand, perfectly illustrates the freedom found in vulnerability. We all carry burdens, anxieties, and what feels like an 'ugly mess' inside. I've often felt overwhelmed, trying to untangle everything myself, but this image reassures me that I don't have to. There's immense peace in simply handing over those chaotic thoughts and emotions, knowing they can be handled with grace and understanding. It’s a powerful reminder that we are never too broken or messy for divine compassion. The feeling of 'never being alone' is a comfort I've experienced countless times. The image of a woman kneeling, covering her face, with a translucent, glowing image of Jesus sitting beside her, beautifully captures that quiet, unseen presence. Even in my darkest moments, when I've felt utterly isolated, reflecting on this image reminds me that there’s always a divine companion, a comforting presence that transcends physical sight. It’s about cultivating an awareness of that ever-present love, knowing you’re held even when you can’t physically feel it. Healing, for me, extends far beyond the physical. The painting of Jesus touching a man's eyes, an act of healing or restoration, speaks to so much more. It’s about mending broken hearts, soothing bad days, transforming negative attitudes, and healing past traumas. Just like the hands molding a cracked pot on a potter's wheel, with light emanating from the cracks, I've learned that my imperfections and brokenness aren't hindrances. They are precisely where His grace can shine through, molding me into something new and beautiful. It's a journey of embracing vulnerability and allowing those cracks to become conduits for light and growth. His presence – it’s often closer than we realize. That illustration of hands reaching towards each other, separated by a translucent, flowing veil, or the comic where a person looks through a telescope for God only to find Him right beside them, profoundly impacts me. It’s a call to remove our 'worldly glasses' and truly see. I've spent so much time searching for grand signs, only to realize His loving presence is woven into the everyday moments, the quiet whispers, and the unexpected comforts. Finally, His protection. As someone who loves to plan, those moments when things don't go my way can be incredibly frustrating. But the image of a figure huddled on a ledge, protected by a large hand from stormy clouds, offers a vital perspective. It helps me remember that sometimes, a 'no' or a closed door isn't a rejection, but a divine redirection. It's His way of shielding us from paths that aren't meant for us, guiding us towards greater good and safety. These pictorial representations of faith truly provide practical solace and deepen my understanding of my spiritual walk, reminding me to always look for the deeper spiritual meaning in every visual.
