Why the slightly lower score compared to Crunchyroll’s 4.2? Well, for me, some elements really shined, while others left me wanting a bit more. The animation, particularly during the fight sequences, was generally fluid and visually engaging. The character designs were appealing, and the world-building, especially around the magic system and the history of Spellblades, had a lot of potential. I enjoyed seeing the different magical abilities and the strategic elements of the battles. However, I felt the pacing could be a bit inconsistent at times. There were moments of intense action and intrigue, but also periods where the plot seemed to meander, making it harder to stay fully invested.
