DIY Face Scrubbies
So I went a little crazy making these face scrubbies. It was so simple. I just made a circle template out of cardstock. Then I traced the circles on my flannel fabric & my terry cloth fabric. I then put them together & serged around the outside to seal the edges. If you don't have a serger you can use a zigzag stitch on a regular sewing machine. It would be more time consuming, but you could also sew the edges by hand. These are nice to wash your face with instead of using a washcloth. And they take up less room!

Creating your own DIY face scrubbies is not only a fun craft project but also a sustainable way to enhance your skincare routine. Face scrubbies made from soft fabrics like flannel and terry cloth provide gentle exfoliation, helping to remove dirt, oil, and dead skin cells without the harshness of some commercial scrubbers. When making these scrubbies, fabric choice is essential. Flannel is soft and absorbent, perfect for sensitive skin, while terry cloth offers a bit more texture for effective cleansing. Combining these materials allows for a balance of softness and exfoliation. If you don’t have a serger to finish the edges, a regular sewing machine with a zigzag stitch is a great alternative. This stitch not only secures the fabric edges but also prevents fraying, extending the life of your scrubbies. Hand sewing is also possible but might require more time and patience, especially if you plan to make several scrubbies. Maintaining your DIY scrubbies is easy. After use, rinse them with warm water and a gentle soap to remove residual makeup or cleanser. Regular washing in a gentle cycle with mild detergent will keep them clean and ready for daily facial cleansing. These scrubbies are compact, which makes traveling lighter and more eco-conscious by reducing the need for disposable wipes or cotton pads. Plus, they add a personalized touch to your beauty routine and can be customized with different fabric colors or patterns. Overall, DIY face scrubbies are a practical, creative, and environmentally friendly choice for skincare enthusiasts looking for an alternative to traditional washcloths or disposable options.

I recommend fleece instead of terry cloth! Terry cloth tends to irritate the skin. You can put it in the center for absorption and what not but I personally like fleece or cotton!
