As soon as I buy fruits and vegetables, they go bad! Does this happen to anyone else? 😂 #comedyvideo #cook #fruit

... Read moreIf you've ever bought fresh fruits and vegetables only to find them going bad almost immediately, you're not alone—this happens to many of us! One common issue is improper storage. For example, some fruits like bananas and avocados release ethylene gas, which speeds up ripening and spoilage of nearby produce. Keeping ethylene-producing fruits separate from vegetables can help. Another tip is to store produce in the right environment. Leafy greens stay fresh longer when wrapped in a damp paper towel and stored in a breathable container in the fridge. Tomatoes, on the other hand, usually fare better on the counter rather than in cold temperatures which can harm their texture and flavor. Don't forget to check for damaged or overripe fruit before storing, as these can cause others to rot faster. Washing fruits and veggies just before eating instead of before storage also helps prevent unwanted moisture that encourages mold and spoilage. Using clear storage containers and labeling can help you keep track of what needs to be used soon. Through trial, error, and these small adjustments, I've managed to reduce food waste significantly and keep my fruits and veggies fresh longer. It’s amazing how a few simple storage tweaks can save money and time, plus reduce frustration in the kitchen!

If they are brown or black that means that it is ripe and that means the banana is sweet
