2026 reading journal flip through ✨📓

new year means new reading journal! i don’t know about you, but im super lazy and hate spending time hand drawing spreads. so this year i designed my whole reading journal on canva, printed, cut out, and glued all the spreads in my journal. i ended up creating my spreads the year so i don’t have to do new ones each month.

let me tell you this was my best decision ever! it save so much time and it just felt like i was coloring! I highly recommend doing this!

... Read moreCreating a reading journal on Canva rather than hand-drawing spreads can truly transform your reading organization experience. I tried this method myself recently and found it incredibly efficient—especially for those of us who aren't fans of drawing or decorating pages manually. Designing all my spreads digitally first meant I could print exactly what I needed and glue them into my journal, turning the process into something more like crafting or coloring than work. One of the best parts of using a digital platform like Canva is the flexibility. You can customize trackers for total books planned, TBR carts, reading bingo challenges, and even monthly wrap-ups including stats and favorite books. For example, adding a dedicated 'series tracker' helped me keep tabs on ongoing series without losing track of where I left off. This made my reading goals for 2026 feel more manageable and fun. A useful tip is to design your spreads with room for notes and reflections. I included sections for favorite quotes, character highlights, and personal feelings about the books I read. This turns the journal into a mini-reading diary that you’ll love looking back on. Also, consider using visual elements like bookmarks or stickers related to your favorite genres and authors to personalize your journal further. This adds motivation to keep it up to date and makes documenting your literary journey enjoyable. Whether you’re tracking daily reading habits or planning out your yearly reading goals, a digitally designed reading journal offers a modern, creative alternative that saves time while keeping your progress organized and visually appealing. Give it a try and see how it enhances your reading experience!
