📚💫book haul, book haul, book haul!

so here are all the books ive gotten recently! these are either books ive been gifted or bought and i can’t wait to read these! i will say i don’t know much about these books because i like to go into books completely blind. so you might have to look up a synopsis if you want to learn more about the books.

🧩the god of the woods: ive heard so many good things about this books and i can’t wait to read it! i think the reason it has some mixed review is because a lot of people go in thinking it’s a thriller when it really reads more literary fiction with some mystery based off what i heard. i think this books follows a summer camp where a girl goes missing. then in the present day i think someone else goes missing again or they’re trying to figure out what happened to the girl. but im so excited for this book and it sounds like my cup of tea!!

🧩this woven kingdom: i love taherah mafi and her writing, so this was a no brainer. ive heard this series is just as addictive as the shatter me series so i can’t wait to make this my new personality. i believe this follows Alizeh and its a romantic fantasy with persian mythology.

🧩renegades: this is an older series i believe but something about the cover just always draws me in. i’ve also heard this is a fun mix of science fiction and dystopian. this is also a series, which i love to binge a good series. this is pretty thick but i think most fantasy books have to be thick to be good.

🧩the reappearance of rachel price: ive heard a lot of mixed reviews of this book but i love holly jackson. i think the cover is super interesting.

🧩the final girls support group: this a horror and thriller mix. i remember at some point i read the back and liked the summary but i really don’t remember anything about it. so let’s see what i think about it!

🧩the thursday murder club: i use to always see this in barnes and think it was interesting. i got this as a gift and im so excited to read it and then watch the Netflix film. i kind of hate the cover but thats a personal issue.

🧩still bobbi: i got this as a gift and i honestly am excited to read it. i had never heard anything about the book but i love bobbi brown and makeup!

... Read moreHaving recently expanded my personal library with a variety of genres, I found this mix of books especially exciting because I like to approach each new read with no preconceived notions, allowing the story to surprise me fully. • "The God of the Woods" offers a unique blend of literary fiction and mystery, revolving around a summer camp disappearance that spans generations. Readers drawn to atmospheric, layered storytelling might find this book compelling despite its mixed reviews, which mostly come from expectations of a straightforward thriller. • For fans of fantasy with rich worldbuilding, "This Woven Kingdom" by Tahereh Mafi is a treat, infusing Persian mythology into a romantic fantasy narrative that captivates like her popular Shatter Me series. Diving into this can be a delightful escape into a sumptuous and emotionally charged story. • "Renegades" appeals to lovers of dystopian science fiction and superhero themes. I enjoy bingeing series that build extensive worlds and complex characters, making thicker volumes like this one rewarding despite the time commitment. • "The Reappearance of Rachel Price," while somewhat polarizing, presents an intriguing mystery by Holly Jackson, a bestseller known for gripping young adult thrillers. Its unique cover and premise make it a conversation starter in anyone's book collection. • For those who appreciate horror mixed with suspense, "The Final Girls Support Group" offers darkly funny and thrilling moments. I remember liking the synopsis though details have slipped my mind; such books are fun to experience without spoilers. • Cozy mystery lovers may enjoy "The Thursday Murder Club," which blends crime and comedy. The buzz around its Netflix adaptation adds another layer of interest, even if the cover art isn't my favorite. • Lastly, "Still Bobbi," a memoir by Bobbi Brown, caught my attention not just as a makeup enthusiast but as someone curious about inspirational personal stories. Exploring new books as a blind journey tends to amplify my reading pleasure. Whether it’s uncovering hidden gems or revisiting popular favorites, this haul represents a thoughtful collection of narratives ranging from psychological thrillers and fantasy to memoirs and mysteries. I’m excited to see which of these titles will resonate the most and invite readers to share their picks from this diverse lineup. What would you choose to read first?
