... Read moreAfter my latest Sephora trip, where I initially went for just a few restock items (and that crucial sunscreen!), I ended up with a basket full of exciting new additions and beloved staples perfect for anyone looking to revamp their daily skincare routine. It's always a thrill to explore new products, but also comforting to stock up on those tried-and-true favorites that make a real difference. For me, beauty truly starts with a good morning routine. And honestly, the mood is just a coffee person before I even think about applying anything to my face! But once that coffee kicks in, my morning skincare becomes a ritual. A good gentle cleanser is always my first step – something that refreshes without stripping. This time, I picked up the Tatcha Rice Wash, which leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft. Next, a brightening serum, usually packed with Vitamin C, is non-negotiable. It helps with hyperpigmentation and gives my skin that glow-from-within look. I've been eyeing the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum, and finally caved – so far, so good! And of course, the sunscreen. I swear by Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen; it's completely invisible and works beautifully under makeup. These three steps are my absolute non-negotiables for starting the day right. When it comes to my evening routine, I love to indulge a bit more. It’s when I focus on repair and treatment. Double cleansing is key for me, especially after wearing makeup all day. I start with an oil-based cleanser to melt away makeup and SPF, followed by a water-based one to truly clean my pores. For my haul, I grabbed the Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm – it’s a cult favorite for a reason! Then comes the treatment step. This is where I rotate between a hydrating serum, something with hyaluronic acid like The Ordinary's Multi-Peptide + HA Serum, and a gentle retinol product a few times a week. Retinol has been a game-changer for my skin texture and fine lines, but starting slow is crucial. I've been loving the Peace Out Retinol Eye Stick for targeted treatment. Finally, a rich moisturizer to lock everything in overnight. The Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream is a splurge, but it feels so luxurious and makes my skin feel plump and smooth by morning. It's not just about the products themselves, but how they fit into your overall routine. Consistency is paramount. I also sometimes add in an essence or a facial oil, depending on what my skin needs that day. What I've learned from countless Sephora hauls is to listen to your skin and introduce new products slowly. Don't be afraid to ask for samples! It’s the best way to test if something will work for you before committing. Building a solid skincare routine, whether it's for 2023 or looking ahead, is an ongoing journey of discovery and self-care. I'm always on the lookout for new holy grails, and Sephora always delivers. What are your recent Sephora skincare must-haves?
