So we have ducks now.

4/15 Edited to

... Read moreAdding ducks to your backyard can be a rewarding and enjoyable experience. When we first decided to bring ducks home, we weren’t quite sure what to expect, but the process turned out to be surprisingly simple and fulfilling. The first step is to provide a safe and comfortable living space. Ducks need a secure coop or pen that protects them from predators while giving enough room to roam. We made sure to include access to clean water for swimming, as ducks love to splash and clean themselves regularly. Feeding ducks is relatively straightforward. Their diet mainly consists of grains, veggies, and some protein, and supplementing with commercial duck feed helps ensure they get proper nutrition. Watching them waddle around, pecking and enjoying treats, quickly became a favorite part of our daily routine. We also learned that ducks are very social creatures and thrive in small groups, so it’s best not to have just one. Their friendly and curious nature makes them great companions, and their quacks bring a lively atmosphere to the backyard. Lastly, regular cleanup of their living area is important to keep them healthy and prevent odors. Over time, caring for ducks has brought a wonderful sense of connection to nature and a new hobby that’s both relaxing and engaging. For anyone considering adding ducks to their home, I highly recommend starting small and doing some research on local regulations and care requirements. With patience and proper care, ducks make charming and delightful additions to any backyard.

Several Muscovy ducks, with white, brown, and black plumage, are gathered on the ground in an outdoor enclosure. The text overlay "Naturally Pest Resistance" emphasizes a key advantage of having ducks.
5 Reasons You Should Have Ducks
1. I won’t pretend that all duck flocks are rainbows and fairytales. I’ve definitely had some aggressive drakes! But usually I was able to fix that by making sure I had the right drake to hen ratio. Chickens are known for being pretty aggressive, going after injured birds and pecking them to death.

WHAT FRUIT CAN DUCKS EAT 🦆
Ducks are omnivores, meaning they eat both plants and animals. A duck's diet depends on a range of factors including species and habitat. FRUIT DUCKS LOVE TO EAT • berries • melons • grapes • bananas we like to feed our ducks with duck feed but during snack time we love to give
