Easy chicken tacos

These were so easy and yummy! 😋

The chicken breast was cooked in the crock pot for 8 hours on high! 🙌🏼

I took some out after I shredded it and added it to a pan with some oil. 🥘

I saved some of the juice from the chicken after it was done cooking and added it back into the shredded chicken. I added some taco seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, lime juice, and some salsa. 🤤

I let it cook for bit then it was time to eat! I used corn tortillas and I topped them with lime juice, onion, cheese, and cilantro. Not pictured is the sour cream and guacamole I added late! 🤪

Sooo good! 🤗

Slow-cooking the chicken breast on high for 8 hours allows the meat to become tender and easy to shred. Saving the cooking juices and combining them back into the shredded chicken ensures your tacos stay moist and packed with flavor. When it comes to seasoning, adding a mix of taco seasoning along with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, lime juice, and fresh salsa gives a bright, smoky, and zesty profile that complements the chicken perfectly. Sauteing the shredded chicken briefly in a pan with a little oil helps to meld these flavors and gives a nice, slightly crisp texture. Using corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas adds an authentic touch and a hint of sweetness that pairs well with the savory filling. To enhance your tacos even more, topping them with fresh ingredients like diced onion, shredded cheese, chopped cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice brightens every bite. Adding creamy elements such as sour cream and guacamole not only adds richness but balances the spices. This recipe is incredibly versatile—you can customize the heat level by adjusting the amount of taco seasoning or salsa, and add your favorite veggies like shredded lettuce, tomatoes, or peppers as desired. Plus, prepping the chicken in advance in a crock pot means you can come home to an easy dinner ready to assemble in minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings, these easy chicken tacos combine convenience and flavor effortlessly. For best results, warm your corn tortillas in a dry skillet before serving and consider a side of Mexican rice or black beans to complete the meal. Enjoy the satisfying flavors and minimal fuss of this crowd-pleasing chicken taco recipe!
