Pb chocolate protein bites 🥜🍫
These were actually pretty easy to make! 🙌🏼
For one batch I used:
1/2 cup PB fit powder
1/4 cup creamy PB
3 table spoons chocolate premier protein shake
Pinch of salt
Dash of honey
They are 80 calories per bite and 5 grams of protein! 💪🏼
I scooped them into tablespoon balls, rolled them, and put them in the freezer for 20 minutes. Then I melted some semi sweet chocolate chips with a lil coconut oil and rolled the frozen balls in it! If you wanted to cut calories you could just put the chocolate on top. 🤷🏻♀️
The ones in the back look kinda rough cause I was running out of chocolate. 🙈
They turned out super good! 😋
Making protein-packed snacks at home like these chocolate covered PB2 protein balls not only saves money but also allows you to tailor the ingredients to your taste and dietary needs. I’ve found that using PB fit powder combined with creamy peanut butter creates a rich texture without adding too many extra calories. Incorporating a chocolate premier protein shake mix adds extra protein and a smooth chocolate flavor that blends well with the peanut butter. For preparation, freezing the rolled tablespoon-sized bites helps them firm up nicely and makes the coating process with melted semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil simpler and less messy. The coconut oil not only thins out the melted chocolate for easier rolling but also adds a subtle richness that complements the nutty flavor. If you’re watching calories, just drizzling the chocolate over the balls instead of fully coating them can lower calorie content while still providing that chocolatey touch. I often make a batch ahead and keep them in the freezer for quick grab-and-go snacks, which are great when you need a protein boost after workouts or a healthy afternoon treat. The pinch of salt and a dash of honey balance the flavors perfectly, enhancing both the sweetness and the savory peanut butter notes. These bites satisfy chocolate cravings while also contributing to your daily protein goals, making them a delicious and smart snack choice.
