Dorito Taco Bites 🌮
These look ugly… But I bet you can’t eat just one! 🤪
These are literally so easy and yummy! They are literally 3 ingredients unless you want to dress them up. 🤷🏻♀️
I used spicy sweet chili Doritos and crushed them up and put them in the bottom of the tin. Take some shredded cheese and mix it around in with them. Next add a scoop of taco meet to cover the crushed Doritos then top with more shredded cheese. I cooked them in the over at 350* for 10 minutes! Let them sit for a sec to cool before you scoop them out. I think it works better if you push them down a little bit first! 🙌🏻
I put toppings on mine but my husband just ate them how they are. He’s picky but gave these a 10/10! 🤗
If you're looking for a fun and simple twist on traditional tacos, Dorito Taco Bites are an excellent choice. I tried this recipe recently and loved how effortlessly the spicy sweet chili Doritos added a crunchy, flavorful base that elevated the entire bite. The combination of crushed Doritos mixed with shredded cheese creates a crispy, melty layer that perfectly complements the savory taco meat. One tip I picked up is to gently press down the layers in the tin before baking at 350°F, which helps everything hold together once cooked. Letting them cool slightly makes scooping easier and enhances the flavors. I also experimented with additional toppings like sour cream, chopped green onions, and a splash of hot sauce to add freshness and a bit more heat. This recipe is incredibly versatile. You can swap the spicy sweet chili Doritos for classic Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch depending on your flavor preference. For a vegetarian version, replace taco meat with black beans or lentils seasoned with taco spices. These Dorito Taco Bites come together in under 15 minutes, making them an ideal option for busy weeknights or casual gatherings. Plus, they’re a crowd-pleaser—my family couldn’t stop snacking on them! Whether you serve them as appetizers or a fun dinner idea, these bites satisfy cravings with minimal effort. Overall, this recipe proves that with just three main ingredients, you can create a delicious and unique taco-inspired treat that’s perfect for any occasion.
