Please check out my lip filler journey in the photos above! (If it's not for you, it's not for you & that's totally cool! If it does peak your interest, check out these tips I've got for you!)
1) RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH! Do not just go to the first office or provider you find. Ask around for recommendations, read reviews, look at plenty of before & afters, research pros and cons of different fillers.
2) Ask about special offers! A lot of places have different offers running all of the time, ESPECIALLY for new customers!
3) Take them up on the free consult! Bring in some inspo photos kind of showing what lip shape you're wanting to go for & size so you and your doctor or aesthetician can discuss all options. Don't like what they say? Get a second opinion!
4) FIND A PROVIDER THAT BANKS YOUR OPEN SYRINGES! Purchased two syringes but only used one and a half? Some providers will bank them, meaning they will save the remaining for later as long as it is used within a certain time frame. Some will not! And that is LOSING MONEY! 💵
5) And of course, follow all AFTERCARE to keep bruising and distortion at bay as much as possible! 💖👌
... Read moreAfter going through my own lip filler journey, I've gathered even more insights that I wish I knew upfront, especially when it comes to the day-to-day healing and choosing the right aesthetic. Many people wonder about the immediate aftermath, like 'lip filler after 3 days,' and honestly, that's when you start seeing some of the initial swelling subside, but it's still very much a part of the healing process.
My top tip for 'lip filler healing' and effective 'aftercare instructions' is to be patient and follow your provider's advice diligently. For the first few days, I found that gentle icing (10-15 minutes on, 10-15 minutes off) really helped with swelling and discomfort. I also made sure to sleep with my head slightly elevated to prevent excessive fluid retention in my lips overnight. Avoiding strenuous exercise, saunas, and hot showers for at least 24-48 hours were among the 'do's and don'ts after lip filler' that my provider emphasized, and I truly believe they made a difference in minimizing bruising.
When it comes to achieving specific 'lip filler shapes' or avoiding common concerns like 'duck lips,' thorough communication with your injector is key. I brought in photos of the kind of 'large and juicy lips' I was aiming for, and we discussed how my natural lip structure could accommodate that vision using Versa filler. It's also worth noting that different fillers, like 'Juvederm Voluma for lips,' might be suggested for varying results or areas, and some people even combine filler with a 'lip flip' for a more everted look without added volume. Understanding these options, including newer trends like 'different style Russian lip filler,' can help you articulate your desired 'natural lip filler before and after' outcome.
While my experience was overwhelmingly positive, it's good to be aware of potential issues, such as 'filler migration bottom lip.' This is why choosing a highly reputable and experienced injector who understands facial anatomy is non-negotiable. They can help guide you on what's realistic for your face and what type of filler or technique will best suit your goals. Always ask about their experience with various techniques and how they address complications. Remember, your journey is unique, and armed with good research and realistic expectations, you're set for beautiful results!
