Gym split!!!

HEYYYYY my lovelies!

this is my current gym split!

(im still pretty new to strength training and im still learning as i go so please go easy on me lol)

i’ve been strength training consistently since February, and ive already seen so much progress in my strength and in my body!

I know the gym can be very intimidating, especially if you’re new, but i hope this split can help you get an idea of a routine or even help you discover new exercises you may not know. (if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask 🩷)

I understand that this may be overwhelming for some people, so take your time and gradually incorporate it into your routine. Feel free to adjust it to fit your schedule! #musclemommy

I would love to hear your gym routine or your advice so comment down below!! 🫶🏻

xoxo lyss

... Read moreStarting a gym routine can feel super overwhelming, and I totally get it! When I first began my fitness journey, finding a workout plan that stuck was a real challenge. That's why I wanted to share some extra tips and insights that have genuinely helped me stay consistent and see results with my weekly gym split. First off, let's talk about consistency, because it truly is key! It's not about being perfect every single day, but about showing up most days. If you miss a workout, don't beat yourself up; just get back on track the next day. I've found that having a set schedule, like the one I follow with my Monday to Friday workout split, makes it much easier to stick to. Remember, even short workouts are better than no workouts! Another game-changer for me was understanding that food is not the enemy. You can't out-train a bad diet, and properly fueling your body is crucial for energy and muscle recovery. If you're aiming for muscle growth, make sure you're getting enough protein. And if weight loss is your goal, understanding a calorie deficit is important – it's about consuming slightly fewer calories than you burn, but always make sure you're eating enough to sustain your energy levels. Lemon8 has some amazing healthy recipes that can help with this! Don't forget the power of progressive overload! This was mentioned in my daily breakdown, especially for bicep curls and hammer curls. It means gradually increasing the weight, reps, or sets over time to keep challenging your muscles. Don't be discouraged if it takes a few weeks to move up; every bit of progress counts! I started with lighter weights and focused on my form, and slowly but surely, I've been able to increase the intensity. Finding a workout buddy or joining a fitness group can also be incredibly motivating. There’s something about having someone to share the journey with that makes it more fun and keeps you accountable. If you prefer to go solo, just focus on workouts that you enjoy! Whether it's dancing, hiking, or swimming on your active rest day, make sure it’s something that excites you. Finally, remember to be kind to yourself. Give your body time to heal and recharge before your next workout. Rest days are just as important as workout days for muscle repair and growth. Set realistic goals that are challenging but achievable, so you don't get discouraged. And stop comparing yourself to others on social media! Everybody's body is different, and we all have different metabolism and starting points. Focus on your own progress, practice makes perfect when it comes to form, and don't be embarrassed to learn. We are all here to learn and improve together!

I’m a beginner, so genuine question! Do we add weights to the ab routine? If so, how?
