My Go-To Products to Control the Clutter!

Decluttering your home is more than just throwing away your things! You can also keep a clutter-free home by smart organization and storage techniques. To be honest, a lot of my clutter is just hidden throughout the home :-) Here are my go-to products for hiding clutter throughout the home:

✨1) Cube Organizers

These are such a great solution to hide clutter in your closets, bookcases, and bedrooms! They are deeper than baskets allowing you to store taller items too. The organizers in the photo were purchased from Dollar Tree.

✨ 2) Decorative Table Trays

Table trays make a great "catch-all" area for clutter. I use them on my dining and coffee table to store items like candles, remotes, napkins, and other items I use frequently. They also look stylish and a little more put together than just having items out on the table. I believe the one photographed was purchased from Homegoods.

✨3) Decorative Storage Bins

These bins offer a sleek solution to clutter! They can stand as a decorative piece on their own and there are so many styles to choose from. I use them to hide extra extension cords, batteries, old cards, and any other small items. The one photographed was purchased from Fred Meyer.

✨4) Large Plastic Totes

I couldn't imagine my home without plastic totes! They are a great solution to storing seasonal decor, clothing, electronics, art supplies, and anything else you can think of! I use them in my garage, under my bed, and in closets to hide clutter. The ones photographed were bought from Walmart.

✨5) Tiered Decorative Trays

I think tiered trays are so beautiful and a sleek way to contain clutter! They can be kept in the kitchen, bedroom nightstand, office, and anywhere else in your home. This one was purchased from Hobby Lobby.

✨6) Furniture with Storage

These are the best option for hiding everyday clutter around your home! Furniture with storage keeps the items easily accessible, but concealed within your home. This basket stand was bought from Hobby Lobby.

✨7) Clear Plastic Bins

I love using clear plastic bins so I can easily tell what's inside. I keep my extra cleaners, house supplies, medicine, and candles in these bins inside my closet.

The ones photographed were purchased from Walmart.

✨8) Small Organizers

You can usually find these in the "office" aisles of stores like Marshall's or Homegoods; however they're great throughout the whole home. I particularly like using them in the kitchen and in the bathroom. They too make a great catch-all area for clutter. This particular organizer was found at Marshall's.

✨9) Woven Storage Baskets

These baskets are an easy way to hide clutter throughout your home, and are small enough to fit on book cases and entertainment centers. They work amazing for concealing all sorts of clutter throughout the home. These were found at Walmart.

I hope this list will inspire you to declutter your home in time for spring! What are your favorite declutter products? Let me know in the comments—I love discovering new ideas!!

... Read moreI totally get it – sometimes decluttering feels like an endless battle! For years, I’d just shove things into closets, thinking 'out of sight, out of mind.' But as I got into the swing of my own 'new year decluttering process,' I realized true organization is about more than just hiding things; it’s about creating a system that works for you. Here’s how I’ve learned to really tackle the mess and make those storage products truly shine, especially when dealing with specific problem areas like a 'cluttered house,' 'cluttered books,' or that perpetually 'cluttered table.' First off, before you even think about buying more storage, do a quick purge. Ask yourself: do I love it? Do I use it? Does it add value to my life? If not, it's time to let it go. Once you've streamlined your belongings, then you can strategically bring in products to help you store and sort effectively. For instance, those versatile Cube Organizers are truly game-changers, not just for hiding, but for *sorting*. I use them with fabric bins inside to categorize everything from my kids' toys in the living room to office supplies in my craft nook. If you have 'cluttered books' everywhere, try dedicating a cube or a couple of Woven Storage Baskets to current reads or specific genres. It instantly makes a bookshelf look less chaotic and more curated. The key is to assign a 'home' to everything. My kitchen and coffee tables used to be black holes for remotes, keys, and mail. That’s where Decorative Table Trays come in handy. Instead of just a catch-all, I now use mine to group similar items. I have one for remotes and coasters, another for my daily vitamins and a pretty candle. It looks intentional and keeps those everyday essentials from scattering. Similarly, Small Organizers are brilliant for drawers or small counter spaces. I have one for incoming mail and keys right by the door, and another for my makeup essentials in the bathroom. No more 'cluttered table' syndrome! And let’s talk about those bigger challenges, like seasonal decor, extra linens, or even sentimental items that contribute to a 'cluttered house.' Large Plastic Totes are my absolute heroes for garage and attic storage. I opt for clear ones when possible – those Clear Plastic Bins – because being able to see what’s inside saves so much time and frustration. I label everything clearly too! For things you want to keep easily accessible but out of sight, Decorative Storage Bins are perfect. I use them in my living room for extra blankets or magazines, blending seamlessly with my decor. It's like having secret storage right in plain view! Even beautiful Decorative Tiered Trays aren't just for display; they can be functional sorting stations. In the bathroom, mine holds small toiletries and jewelry, keeping the counter clear. In the office, it organizes pens, paper clips, and sticky notes. And for those bigger items you don't want to stash away, Furniture with Storage – like an ottoman with a hidden compartment or a console table with drawers – is a lifesaver. It keeps things within reach but maintains a sleek, tidy appearance. My biggest takeaway from this whole process? It’s not about perfection, but about creating systems that make your daily life easier. By thoughtfully choosing and utilizing these products, I've transformed my home from a chaotic collection of stuff into a calm, functional space. What a difference it makes!
