By planning meals ahead of time, you can ensure that you’re consuming balanced, nutritious foods that support your energy needs throughout demanding work schedules, such as 12-hour shifts at the hospital. A great breakfast option, like a breakfast burrito made with eggs, beef sausage, and hash browns enriched with cottage cheese for added protein, provides sustained energy for the busy day ahead. For lunch, consider a meal comprised of ground turkey, bell peppers, and cauliflower paired with a variety of mixed veggies and a refreshing prebiotic soda to enhance gut health. Lastly, for dinner or a late-night snack, Oikos vanilla Greek yogurt offers a protein-packed choice that helps repair muscles and promotes recovery after long shifts. Additionally, incorporating healthy snacks like Alani Cherry Twist can provide a much-needed energy boost during those critical moments in your shift.
