Everything I Did in Thailand. Bangkok Edition 🇹🇭

Bangkok surprised me in the best way.

One minute I’m eating street food for a few dollars, the next I’m 70 floors up sipping cocktails with skyline views. Rooftops, markets, culture, chaos, luxury. All in one city.

Just what it actually felt like to experience the city and what things really cost.

Save this if Thailand is on your vision board. Part two is Phuket 🌴

... Read moreBangkok truly amazed me with its unexpected blend of contrasts. One moment, I was sampling delicious street food in Chinatown, where meals can cost as little as $5 to $15, offering an authentic taste of Thai culture filled with energy and flavor. It's a food lover’s paradise that doesn't break the bank. Then there’s the Chatuchak Market, one of the largest markets globally, where I enjoyed not only shopping but also affordable food ranging roughly between $15 and $30. This bustling market is perfect for those who want to dive into local life and find unique souvenirs or taste a variety of Thai dishes. For a change of pace, ICONSIAM offers a luxurious experience by the river with high-end shopping and a grand food court, where I spent around $100 taking in the sights and tastes of upscale Bangkok. One of the highlights was visiting the Akara Sky Rooftop on the 70th floor. The panoramic city views paired with cocktails costing around $25 to $40 made for an unforgettable evening away from the crowded spots, providing a more relaxed, upscale vibe. If you love animals, the TOWN DOG café near Chidlom offers a unique experience for dog lovers with entry plus drinks costing about $10 to $15. It’s a great way to unwind and enjoy some furry company. Overall, Bangkok’s vibrant mix of culture, chaos, luxury, and affordability makes it an incredible city to explore. Whether you’re on a tight budget or looking to indulge, this city’s diversity and energy will leave you inspired and eager to come back.
