NYC Christmas 🎄

As a native New Yorker if there is only one time you go to NYC I highly recommend going during Christmas 🥹 these are my favorite places to go :

📍Bryant Park - during the holidays they have their own ice skating rink which is wayyyy more affordable than Rockefeller, a winter village with shops, places to eat and hot chocolate 😋 and activities to do for kids like pictures with Santa !

📍Rockefeller Center - one of my favorite memories as a child is going to go see the tree every year with my family. To this day the tree still amazes me and really gets me excited for Christmas. I’ve added Radio City Music Hall because it’s right around the corner and even though I’ve never seen a show I remember getting that same excitement for Christmas just walking by and feeling all the Christmas energy ❤️

... Read moreHey fellow Christmas lovers! You asked about navigating between Bryant Park and Radio City Music Hall during the holidays, and trust me, it's one of my favorite routes to explore! As a native New Yorker, I've done this walk countless times, and it's truly part of the magic. If you're wondering how to get from Bryant Park's festive Winter Village to the dazzling lights of Radio City Music Hall, the best way (and my personal favorite!) is to simply walk. It’s a pretty straightforward and scenic stroll, especially when the city is dressed up for Christmas. You're looking at about a 10-15 minute walk, depending on your pace and how many times you stop to admire the incredible window displays or the beautiful architecture of the buildings around you – maybe even spot a stone lion statue adorned with a Christmas wreath! Starting from Bryant Park, you'll head east along 42nd Street, then turn north on 6th Avenue or 5th Avenue. Many people prefer walking up 5th Avenue as it takes you right past Rockefeller Center. Imagine leaving the cozy charm of Bryant Park, perhaps with a hot chocolate in hand from one of the bustling outdoor market stalls, and then suddenly seeing the iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas tree come into view! It's an absolute treat. The tree, brightly illuminated with colorful lights, is truly a sight to behold, just like in the pictures. Then, just around the corner, you'll find the glowing neon sign of Radio City Music Hall, often adorned with festive lights and surrounded by illuminated tall buildings. The energy around there is palpable, making the short walk feel even more special. For those who might prefer public transport, it’s also very easy. From Bryant Park, you can hop on the B, D, F, M subway lines at 42nd Street-Bryant Park station and take it one stop north to 47-50th Sts-Rockefeller Center. Radio City is just a block away from that subway exit. This is a great option if the weather isn't cooperating or if you're a bit tired from all the holiday shopping. Beyond just the travel logistics, I always recommend taking your time. Don't rush! Each block offers something unique. You'll pass modern skyscrapers towering above the festive decorations, see people enjoying ice skating, and soak in all the holiday cheer. It's not just about getting from point A to point B; it's about soaking in every bit of that New York Christmas energy. Make sure to have your camera ready – you'll want to capture the illuminated city lights and the sheer joy of it all. Trust me, experiencing the festive journey between Bryant Park, Rockefeller Center, and Radio City Music Hall is an essential part of any magical NYC Christmas trip!

Okay, the Christmas tree at Rockefeller is iconic, but Bryant Park's skating rink and market are definitely low-key gems! ⛸️
