Which Bird would you pick to be your Pet?
The indian ringneck and green parakeet parrot (I don't know if that's the official name someone help me in the comments) they had my heart at this fair. But alas I know how much work, time and dedication it would've required to take those birds home not to mention the expensive price tag! They were so cute together though and were bonded as best friends. I loved seeing them snuggling in their cage 🥰

They are smart and can be trained to do many things.
They are generally snuggly and will enjoy scratches and pets.
🤔Cons:
They make a big mess.
They can be very loud.
They need large cages (which are expensive) and proper room to fly.
They can develop disorders if you keep them singly and don't spend enough time with them.

Choosing the right bird as a pet depends greatly on your lifestyle and expectations. Parrots like the Indian Ringneck and green parakeet are beautiful and affectionate, often forming strong bonds with their owners and other birds. They are intelligent and can be trained to perform various tricks, making them engaging pets. However, it’s important to consider their needs carefully. These birds require large cages and ample space to fly and exercise, which can be a significant commitment in terms of cost and space at home. They also tend to be noisy and messy, which might not suit everyone’s living situation. Loneliness can lead to behavioral and health problems in parrots, so they need plenty of social interaction and mental stimulation. This is especially crucial if you only have one bird. Spending quality time with your feathered friend daily helps prevent stress and promotes a happier, healthier pet. If you’re a beginner looking for a pet bird, smaller species like budgerigars or cockatiels might be more manageable. They still offer companionship and can be very affectionate but generally require less space and care complexity. Whenever considering a pet bird, research their specific care requirements, lifespan, and temperament. Visiting local bird fairs or connecting with experienced bird owners on platforms like TikTok can provide valuable insights. Remember, owning any pet bird is a long-term commitment deserving of thought and preparation.
