Hidden Bakery Find in Jurong West 🍞✨
📍 Bread Era – Jurong West
Just discovered this bakery in the west and I’m honestly so glad I walked in. The moment you enter you can smell the bread and see rows of buns, brioche, cakes and even soft shokupan. They also have sliced cakes, brownies and tiramisu!
There were so many options I wanted to try, but here’s what I ended up getting (watch till the end to see everything 👀):
🌭 Nacho cheese sausage bun – I was actually surprised by the quality of the sausage. It was really good, which I find is quite rare for heartland bakeries.
🍩 Classic sugar donut – my personal way of judging a bakery. The bread was soft with a slight chew (which I love) and it had real sugar instead of powdered sugar, which is a big win for me. (Not a fan of powdered sugar at all)
☕ Coffee roll slice cake – I’m a huge coffee roll fan and this one was honestly a 10/10 for me.
Everything smelled super fresh and there were so many more buns I didn’t get to try yet, so I’ll definitely be back again.

Recently, I also had the chance to visit Bread Era after reading about its reputation, and I was genuinely impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere inside. The smell of freshly baked bread really sets the mood right from the moment you step in. What I found particularly interesting was the variety—they don’t just stick to traditional bread but offer an array of tempting items like their soft shokupan, a Japanese-style milk bread that’s irresistibly fluffy. During my visit, I tried their nacho cheese sausage bun and the classic sugar donut. The sausage was juicy with a perfect seasoning balance that made it surprisingly delightful. The sugar donut, with its soft texture and real sugar coating, was a refreshing change from the usual powdered sugar; it had a nice, subtle crunch on the outside which I loved. I also sampled their coffee roll slice cake, which had the perfect coffee aroma and a moist texture that coffee roll fans will appreciate. Beyond these, Bread Era has a range of cakes, brownies, and tiramisu that are definitely worth exploring. Freshness is clearly a priority for them, as everything had that just-baked quality which elevated the taste. I noticed quite a few other varieties of buns and pastries that I didn’t get around to trying on my first visit, so I’m planning to come back for a more extensive tasting session. If you’re in Jurong West or nearby, this bakery is a true hidden gem for anyone who loves quality baked goods. It’s ideal for grabbing a quick snack or picking up something special for a small gathering. Plus, their reasonable prices make it a great place for regular visits. Overall, Bread Era is a bakery that lives up to its promise of freshness and flavor, and I’m excited to explore more of their offerings in the future.
