Hidden Bakery Find in Jurong West 🍞✨
📍 Bread Era – Jurong West
Just discovered this bakery in the west and I’m honestly so glad I walked in. The moment you enter you can smell the bread and see rows of buns, brioche, cakes and even soft shokupan. They also have sliced cakes, brownies and tiramisu!
There were so many options I wanted to try, but here’s what I ended up getting (watch till the end to see everything 👀):
🌭 Nacho cheese sausage bun – I was actually surprised by the quality of the sausage. It was really good, which I find is quite rare for heartland bakeries.
🍩 Classic sugar donut – my personal way of judging a bakery. The bread was soft with a slight chew (which I love) and it had real sugar instead of powdered sugar, which is a big win for me. (Not a fan of powdered sugar at all)
☕ Coffee roll slice cake – I’m a huge coffee roll fan and this one was honestly a 10/10 for me.
Everything smelled super fresh and there were so many more buns I didn’t get to try yet, so I’ll definitely be back again.

If you're on the lookout for more than just the usual bakery fare in Jurong West, Bread Era stands out as a must-visit for bread and dessert lovers. When I first walked in, the aroma of freshly baked bread was incredibly inviting, and the variety made it tough to decide. Beyond the nacho cheese sausage bun and sugar donut I tried, I noticed they also offer other specialties like tiramisu and brownies, which add a sweet contrast to their savory options. For those searching for convenient bread shops nearby, Bread Era's location at 506 Jurong West Street 52 makes it easily accessible. It also caters well to those frequenting the nearby Jurong Point shopping center, offering a refreshing alternative to typical mall bakeries. From my experience, the coffee roll slice cake deserves special mention as it balanced that rich coffee flavor with soft, moist cake perfectly. For anyone in the Jurong East or West area looking for quality bread and desserts, this place is a hidden gem I’ll definitely revisit to try more of their buns and cakes. Don’t just take my word for it—if you enjoy freshly baked goods with real sugar toppings instead of powdered sugar, or crave a soft, chewy texture in your bread, I highly recommend giving Bread Era a try. It’s not just a bread shop; it’s a delightful experience for your taste buds that beautifully blends classic and unique bakery treats.
