Let’s Restart these nails
I had to take off that old chipped polish from the salon.
I redid it myself. What do you think?
I changed the shape from square to almond, so they came out to be medium almond.
Now I think I should just cut them all the way down and restart. Short square or keep them as almond shape? 😊

Removing salon nails at home can be a freeing process, especially when you notice chips or wear that detract from your fresh look. I found soaking off the old polish and gently freeing the nails helped prevent damage to the natural nail bed. When changing my nail shape from square to almond, I discovered it suits many hand shapes better and offers a more elegant appearance. Medium almond is a great compromise between length and durability, but if you prefer low maintenance, short square nails are absolutely cute and practical. Using pink builder gel provides durability and a beautiful base that resists chipping while giving a polished, natural look with a soft pink hue. Adding two gold glitters as an ombre effect creates a subtle shine and glam without overpowering the simplicity. Top coats like no-wipe formulas seal everything in with a smooth finish and save time during manicure routines. If you're debating whether to cut nails down or maintain length, consider your daily activities and nail growth rate. Shorter nails usually require less upkeep and are less prone to breakage, while almond-shaped longer nails offer versatility in styling and can elongate fingers visually. Overall, restarting your nails at home can be a satisfying way to express creativity while saving salon trips. Sharing your nail journey and experimenting with shapes and designs can inspire others to try DIY nail care with confidence and style.
