Don't push into multiple enemies at once unless you have an overwhelming advantage or a really good plan for your utility. Speaking of utility, know your agent's kit inside out. Agents like Reyna, Jett, and Phoenix excel in dueling situations, making them great for individual plays. Cypher or Killjoy can use their traps to slow down pushes and get valuable information, giving you an edge in a 1vX. Map awareness is crucial. Always be thinking about where the remaining enemies could be coming from. Did you hear footsteps? Was there a recent utility usage? Use cover effectively, peek angles surgically, and don't be afraid to reposition if your current spot isn't working. Sometimes, baiting out a push or falling back to a safer angle can give you the advantage you need. And remember, economy matters. Even in a clutch situation, consider if forcing a full buy next round is worth the risk. But often, the psychological win of a clutch is worth more than the economic setback. Practicing in Deathmatch or custom games can help you refine your aim and movement, which are foundational for clutching. But the real clutch skill comes from experience and learning from both your successes and failures. Every lost 1vX is a lesson in what not to do, and every successful one builds your confidence.
