🎀 journal with me! (January books read spread)

what should my spread theme for February be? 👀 i'm thinking chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's day 🤭🍓

this spread didn't turn out too bad there's some things i'd change though like the books read card i should've prepped that before sticking it on the page & the title on the big heart could've been centered 😅

but that's the fun of it learning as i go 🙂‍↕️

When I set up my January spread, I discovered that pre-planning certain elements like the "books read" card really helps keep the layout clean and visually appealing. Using colorful papers from craft stores like Joann’s and layering stickers from various sources adds depth and personality to each page. One tip I've found useful is to leave space in the layout for favorite book highlights or quotes to really capture what stood out that month. For example, alongside the titles I read, I jot down a brief thought or favorite scene. It transforms a simple list into a memorable keepsake. Looking ahead to February, a chocolate covered strawberries theme is not only festive for Valentine’s Day but also offers beautiful color palettes—think vibrant reds, soft pinks, and creamy whites. You can embellish your spread with small heart-shaped stickers or doodles of strawberries, mixing in gold or silver accents for a bit of sparkle. Journaling is a creative journey where every page is a chance to learn and improve. Don’t worry if things aren’t perfect—centering titles or prepping cards beforehand is something I’m learning from too! The joy comes from experimenting and personalizing your journal to make it uniquely yours. Sharing your designs and ideas with communities under tags like #readingjournal and #journalspread can also inspire others and gain you fresh creative tips.
