Shrimp & spinach alfredo

I really didn’t think this video would blow up like that but you guys asked for the ingredients so here they are

Things you will need:

1Onion

1Green pepper

1Box of rotini pasta

1 bag of spinach

1 bag of shrimp

For the Alfredo sauce I made it from scratch

I used a small cart of heavy cream but before that I made a base which was flour with some water

Stir until there’s is no clumps but you want a some what thick consistency then you want to add you’re seasoning which could be what you like

Personally I used

Salt

Pepper

Paprika

Adobo

Garlic powder

Parsley

Dan’o seasoning

I cut up fresh mozzarella and Gouda

Poured some heavy cream in with my seasons until fully mixed then I added my cheeses and mixed until it was all melted now you can add more seasoning if you feel like the flavoring is not to your liking but I don’t like to use to much sodium

After mixed you’re shrimp and spinach in with the sauce ( also I forgot to mention I use the same seasoning for my shrimp

I hope this helps I never explained what I used before when I cook but since you guys like it I’ll post more of my food #shrimpalfredo #shrimprecipe #selftaughtcook #chef #homemadefood

... Read moreCooking at home has always been a passion of mine, and there's nothing quite like the satisfaction of creating a delicious, comforting meal from scratch. This homemade shrimp and spinach alfredo pasta has become a real hit in my kitchen, and I'm excited to share a few more tips to make it even better for your family dinners! When it comes to shrimp alfredo, the seasoning of the shrimp is absolutely key to elevating the entire dish. While the original recipe outlines great spices for the sauce, I have a little ritual for seasoning my shrimp directly. First, make sure your shrimp are completely thawed and patted very dry with paper towels – this helps them get a nice sear. Then, a drizzle of olive oil, followed by a generous sprinkle of garlic powder, paprika (for that beautiful color and mild sweetness), a pinch of salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Sometimes I add a touch of dried oregano or Italian seasoning. Toss them gently to coat evenly before searing them quickly in a hot pan until they turn pink and opaque. This ensures every bite of shrimp in your creamy pasta is bursting with flavor, not just the sauce! Now, let's talk about that glorious scratch-made alfredo sauce. While store-bought options like Ragu are convenient, making it from scratch allows you to control the richness, ingredients, and flavor profile entirely. For a truly healthy alfredo sauce, you can experiment with swapping some heavy cream for whole milk and adding a bit more flour or a cornstarch slurry for thickness, or even blending in some steamed cauliflower to boost nutrition without sacrificing creaminess. The key to avoiding clumps when using flour for the base is to whisk constantly as you add your liquids. Start with a small amount of liquid to create a smooth paste before gradually incorporating the rest of the heavy cream. This technique ensures a silky, luxurious texture for your creamy, seasoned sauce, which is crucial for a perfect alfredo. Regarding pasta choices, while rotini pasta works wonderfully, don't hesitate to try other options like classic fettuccine (hello, shrimp fettuccine alfredo!), linguine, or even penne. Each shape holds the rich sauce differently, offering a slightly varied experience. The addition of fresh spinach (as highlighted in the OCR results!) not only adds a vibrant color but also a healthy dose of vitamins and a lovely freshness that cuts through the richness of the alfredo. Wilt it in at the very end with the cooked shrimp and sauce to maintain its texture and bright green hue. This dish is incredibly versatile, and if you're feeling adventurous, you could even add grilled chicken alongside the shrimp for a delicious shrimp and chicken dish, making it an even heartier meal.
