almost lost my phone 😳🌊😂
dang today was wavy af 😭
Oh my gosh, what a morning! You know how I've been trying to become a true '6am girlie' lately? Well, today was Day 4 of that journey, and let me tell you, it was an adventure! I dragged myself out of bed before the sun even thought about peeking over the horizon, determined to catch a gorgeous Caribbean sunrise. And honestly, it was breathtaking. The sky just exploded with colors, painting the clouds in hues of pink, orange, and purple – totally worth the early alarm. There's something truly therapeutic about witnessing the world wake up in such a spectacular fashion, especially when you're by the ocean. The beach was almost deserted, just the rhythmic sound of the waves crashing and the occasional call of a seabird. I loved having that peaceful solitude, soaking it all in, feeling the cool, soft sand between my toes. It's moments like these that make the early wake-up call completely worth it, grounding you before the day even properly begins. But then, the waves! They were much bigger than I expected today, really 'wavy af' as I said. I was trying to capture a cool shot for my #beachvlog, getting a little too close to the water's edge, completely mesmerized by the raw power and beauty of the ocean. Next thing I knew, a rogue wave just snuck up on me! My phone, which was in my hand, almost got swept away. My heart literally leaped into my throat. For a split second, I thought it was gone, swallowed by the sea. The water was so powerful it pulled at my feet. Luckily, I reacted super fast, leaping back and snatching it back just in time. Phew! That was an adrenaline rush I did not sign up for at 6 AM. It was such a close call, and it made me realize how important it is to be extra careful with electronics near the water. Especially if you're like me and love taking photos and videos of your morning routine by the beach. I'm definitely investing in a waterproof pouch or a wrist strap for my phone now – maybe even leaving it in a dry bag a little further up the sand when the waves are this unpredictable. Lesson learned the hard way (almost)! Despite the near-disaster, the morning was still incredibly special. There’s just something magical about watching the sun come up over the Caribbean sea, feeling the cool sand between your toes, and breathing in that fresh, salty air. It truly sets such a positive tone for the rest of the day, filling you with energy and a sense of calm. If you're thinking about trying out an early morning routine or visiting the beach for sunrise, I highly recommend it – just maybe keep your phone a little further away from the waves than I did! It's all part of the #beachlife experience, embracing both the beauty and the unexpected thrills. Sometimes those early alarms pay off in the most memorable (and slightly terrifying) ways!
