Diving into pixel art is always an adventure, but this haunted mansion scene really pushed my creativity. Every single pixel tells a story, and trying to capture the eerie glow of the mansion, the flickering lights, and the iconic characters like Luigi himself, felt incredibly rewarding. I truly believe this piece is by far my favorite out of all the other ones I've drawn so far! I even tried a new overlay for my speed paint video to make it look more aesthetically pleasing, so you can really see the transformation from concept to completion. For me, achieving those perfect pixel art aesthetics means paying close attention to color palettes, dithering techniques, and how light interacts with shadows in a low-resolution format. It’s about creating depth and emotion with minimal information, which is a fantastic challenge. Imagining Luigi tiptoeing through these halls, vacuuming up ghosts, just makes the process so much more fun. Speaking of Luigi's Mansion, I have to share some exciting news! On an unrelated note, I picked up my Nintendo Switch 2 today at GameStop's midnight release! I'm absolutely stoked because I heard that in the Nintendo Online service, they're adding a GameCube emulator, which means I'll be able to play the classic Luigi's Mansion again.
