Speak these scriptures over your 🤍
Hey everyone! I wanted to share something that has profoundly impacted my daily walk with God: speaking biblical affirmations over myself. For a long time, I struggled with self-doubt and anxious thoughts, and it felt like my internal monologue was constantly running on empty. That's when I discovered the power of aligning my thoughts with God's truth, specifically through scriptures. What exactly are biblical affirmations? They're not just positive thinking; they are declarations rooted in God's promises from the Bible, spoken aloud or meditated upon to reshape our mindset and strengthen our faith. As a Child of God, we have access to these incredible truths that can transform how we see ourselves and our circumstances. I started by picking a few key scriptures that resonated with what I was going through. For instance, 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me' from Philippians 4:13 became my go-to whenever I felt overwhelmed by a task. It's amazing how speaking that simple truth out loud can shift my perspective from 'I can't' to 'I know I have divine strength to achieve this.' It’s not about my own ability, but about Christ working through me. Another one that truly changed my outlook on daily life is 'I am blessed coming in and going out' (Deuteronomy 28:6). Before, I'd often dread the start of my day or worry about what might go wrong. Now, I declare this blessing over myself as I leave the house, and it helps me look for God's favor in every interaction and opportunity. It reminds me that blessings aren't just for grand moments, but for the everyday movements of life. When fear or timidity crept in, especially when facing new challenges, I leaned heavily on 2 Timothy 1:7: 'God has not given me a spirit of fear or timidity. I have a spirit of power, love and self-discipline.' This biblical affirmation is a game-changer. It helps me recognize that fear isn't from God, and instead, I can operate in divine power, unconditional love, and the self-control to make wise decisions. I literally speak it over myself, sometimes multiple times a day, and feel a tangible shift in my spirit. And for those moments when I feel completely alone or unsure, Isaiah 41:10 brings immense comfort: 'I will not fear, because my God is with me.' Knowing that God is constantly by my side, supporting and upholding me, provides an incredible sense of peace. It's a reminder that no matter what I face, I'm never truly alone. Making these bible verse affirmations a consistent practice has been key. I try to incorporate them into my morning routine, sometimes writing them in a journal, other times just speaking them into the mirror. Some days, I even set phone reminders to prompt me to speak a specific scripture. It’s about being intentional. These god words about life aren't just ancient texts; they are living, breathing truths meant to empower us. If you're looking for positive affirmations that go beyond surface-level positivity, I highly encourage you to explore biblical affirmations. They're a powerful way to renew your mind, strengthen your faith, and truly walk in the identity God has given you as His child. Start with one or two that resonate and see how they transform your daily life!
