🗺️ MyRoadTripMap:Orlando to Every Corner of America

This map shows something I’m truly proud of—every road trip I’ve taken across the U.S., starting from my home base in Orlando, Florida. Over the years and across many vacations, I’ve driven through every single state (yes, even the ones I just passed through!). The only exception? I flew to Seattle and road-tripped through Washington and Oregon from there.

🚗 Why road trips?

Because they’re the best way to truly feel the country. From iconic cities to quiet backroads, I’ve explored all the major tourist spots—and beyond.

🌲 National Parks? Count me in.

I’ve visited every U.S. national park, and if you’re a hiker, there’s no better playground. The scale, the diversity, the solitude—it’s unmatched. Switzerland is stunning too, but America’s vastness offers something different.

💰 Driving in the U.S. vs. Europe

Let’s be real: driving here is way more budget-friendly. Tolls in France and Italy? They’ll eat your wallet. In contrast, American highways are more forgiving—and safer too.

Grateful for the miles, the memories, and the lessons learned on the road. If you’ve got a favorite national park or road trip route, drop it in the comments—I’m always up for the next adventure! 🌄🚙

... Read moreEmbarking on road trips across the United States offers an unparalleled way to experience the vast and diverse landscape of the country firsthand. Starting from a home base like Orlando, Florida, travelers can explore iconic destinations, hidden backroads, and majestic natural wonders that create lasting memories. One of the most rewarding aspects of US road trips is the opportunity to visit many national parks — each offering unique scenery, wildlife, and hiking experiences. From the rugged peaks of the Rocky Mountains to the serene landscapes of the Great Smoky Mountains, these parks are a haven for outdoor enthusiasts seeking solitude, adventure, and stunning vistas. The immense scale and diversity of America’s national parks present a variety of environments that few countries can match. Travelers often remark on the cost-effectiveness of driving in the US compared to Europe. In France and Italy, toll roads can add significant expenses, whereas American highways typically have fewer tolls and safer conditions, making long-distance journeys more budget-friendly. This advantage encourages spontaneous detours to small towns or off-the-beaten-path locales that enrich the travel experience. Beyond planning routes and destinations, embracing the spirit of the road trip means appreciating the journey itself — the changing scenery, local culture, and unexpected discoveries along the way. Whether it’s stopping to enjoy a mountain overlook, sampling regional food, or engaging with fellow travelers, road trips create authentic connections to places. This approach to travel invites sharing stories and recommendations — such as favorite national parks or memorable road trip routes — fostering a community of reflective explorers who value authentic and heartfelt travel experiences. For anyone inspired by such adventures, planning your own road trip across states or within national parks can be the start of many unforgettable journeys filled with learning, memories, and growth on the open road.
