The Shea Butter Product is not bad. For me it just doesn’t last that long. I wouldn’t wear it to the gym or anything . Probably to bed or something, or if you wear it through out the day just keep it in your purse because you may have to use it again . 6/10
Lume I’ve used before, I rate this one 8/10, not bad at all, it actually does last a long time . Sorry y’all I don’t be paying attention to the hrs lol but it does last .
... Read moreOkay, so you've heard my quick thoughts on the Shea Butter product and Lume, but let's dive a little deeper into my personal experience with these whole body deodorants. When it comes to staying fresh, I'm always on the hunt for something that truly delivers, especially with the "whole body" trend.
First up, that "Shea Butter Product" – which, from the look of it and the packaging, is a Coconut & Hibiscus Aluminum Free Whole Body Deodorant. I picked it up because "aluminum-free" and "plant-based" sounded fantastic for daily use. The coconut and hibiscus scent is lovely, very tropical and subtle, which I appreciated. It glides on smoothly, a nice solid texture, and initially, I thought I'd found a winner. However, as I mentioned, the longevity just wasn't there for me. It’s certainly not bad for light activity or just chilling at home, but if I wore it to grab groceries or run a few errands, I'd definitely feel the need to reapply. It's more of a quick freshen-up than all-day odor control. I've found it works best when applied right before bed after a shower, or for those super chill days where you're not doing much. For anyone seeking a natural, pleasant-smelling option for minimal activity, it could be a 6/10, but for true "all-day" protection, it didn't quite hit the mark for my body chemistry. The idea of carrying it in my purse to reapply felt a bit inconvenient for a product claiming whole body use.
Now, let's talk about Lume, specifically the Clean Tangerine Whole Body Deodorant. This one really impressed me! The original article already said it lasts a long time, and I wholeheartedly agree. This smooth solid stick, made with skin-safe ingredients, truly delivered on its promise of extended odor control. I've used it through busy workdays, light workouts, and just generally being out and about, and I rarely felt the need to reapply. The clean tangerine scent is fresh and invigorating, though it's a bit stronger than the subtle coconut and hibiscus of the other product. It's not overwhelming, but it's definitely noticeable initially. What I love most is the confidence it gives me, knowing that it's working hard to keep odors at bay for hours. It’s effective as a whole body deodorant, meaning I can use it wherever I might need it, not just underarms, without worrying about irritation. The 8/10 rating for Lume is well-deserved; it’s a reliable choice for long-lasting freshness. What kept it from a perfect 10? Perhaps the initial scent strength might not be for absolutely everyone, and while it's skin-safe, everyone's skin is unique.
When choosing your own whole body deodorant, consider your lifestyle. Are you highly active? Do you prefer subtle or stronger scents? Look for terms like "aluminum-free" or "plant-based" if natural ingredients are important to you, but remember that longevity can vary greatly based on individual body chemistry and activity levels. For maximizing any deodorant's effectiveness, I always recommend applying it to clean, dry skin. Sometimes letting it air dry for a minute before dressing can also make a difference. Ultimately, finding the right whole body deodorant is a personal journey, but hopefully, my detailed review helps you make an informed decision!
