Is this a normal feeling?
i never imagined id feel this way at 25, but looking back on my choices it all makes sense…
i got my associates degree in psychology simply to please my parents. i had no true interest in going to school, but it was either that or move out at the time so i choose school.
then once i finished school and moved out (and thanks to covid) i started working in the cannabis industry!💨 which to say it nicely, this industry is flakey.. so i would take “in between” jobs when needed.
i did door dashing and dog sitting and nannying… tons of customer service positions & ive also worked in warehouses.
i am a hard, consistent worker & have never had a problem getting a job. but over the last 6ish months i can not get a job to save the life of me.
this is the first time ive ever been so stressed about paying my rent that i have no idea what im going to do and it’s making me realize i never took time to set myself up for success.
i never build a foundation for a solid career and not at 25 i feel lost and helpless. but now the question is where do i go from here?
im trying to build a social media management business, but maybe learning nails would be fun, or doing real estate, also going into medical sales is great money…. there’s just too many options & i feel like i cant make a decision! 😭
and if i do any of that i need a job that can pay all my bills and give me enough time to do whatever i need to & i can’t find a job so it’s all a 💩 situation.
At 25, many young adults grapple with career decisions and the pressure to succeed. It's common to feel uncertain, especially after navigating unconventional job paths during unpredictable times like a pandemic. Consider joining communities or forums where individuals share similar experiences. Self-reflection is key to understanding your true passions. You might explore various avenues: social media management, nail art, or even medical sales, which offer lucrative opportunities. Networking can help you gain insights and advice from those in desired fields. Additionally, focusing on transferable skills developed through diverse roles can enhance job prospects. Remember, it's okay to take your time in making career decisions and to seek support from mentors or career counselors. Your feelings of confusion are valid, and many have walked a similar path. Embrace the journey of self-discovery as you seek a fulfilling career.

It took me till I was 30 to finally be truly independent from my parents and have a career, I started my higher education later bc I didn’t want to get into debt and my parents couldn’t help me with that part, don’t stress and follow your passions! You will find your way 🍋❤️
