One Corner of My Living Room
I change my living room around about twice a year.
I am constantly searching for feng shui. A a space that feels peaceful and inviting, but also fresh. I struggle with contemporary and classic and small. I am pretty happy with my space the way that it is now but I’m going to change the artwork over my sofa. I might put some frames by my TV, which is beside the mirror. It’s really an uphill battle. Lol. I like things to be clean and clear on the minimal aspect, but I also borderline maximalist in my mind, of course, and I’m really trying to find the balance. I also have trouble including color, I am a very black and white color spectrum person 😆 Feel free to share your suggestions. Any suggestions you have the bench- $89 pictured here comes from Temu (don’t cringe, I’ve had much luck with them) 😆 so does the mirror and the storage cabinet-$100 (sold out) to the right of it. I love this mirror. It was about $150. It’s 74 x 36“ wide. I don’t really like the way angle but I am still trying to find the balance and I love this birds of paradise plant that I bought from IKEA it’s actually too big though 😆 I actually just bought a pot for it from Lowe’s for about 28 bucks that gives a concrete look but made of resin (I’ll post soon) #homedecor #lemon8challenge #homedecorideas
Creating a harmonious living room involves understanding the principles of feng shui, which can significantly enhance the energy flow within your home. One key aspect of feng shui is the arrangement of furniture and decor to create a balance between the five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. This balance is essential for fostering a peaceful atmosphere. When reimagining your living space, consider incorporating natural elements such as plants to promote vitality and fresh energy. Large plants, like a birds of paradise, not only add beauty but also improve air quality. Additionally, selecting artworks that resonate with you can elevate the mood of your room; vibrant colors can invoke energy, while monochromatic pieces may promote calmness. In terms of functionality, ensuring that your living room remains uncluttered while reflecting your personality is crucial. Use versatile furniture and storage options that align with your aesthetic, such as minimalistic tables or eclectic art pieces. Lastly, don’t hesitate to experiment with color palettes that feel authentic to you. Even if you prefer a neutral spectrum, small accents of color can make a dramatic difference. Remember, your living space should not only be visually appealing but also a reflection of your personal style and comfort.
