It’s Okay Not to Feel Okay

The reality is that…. It’s okay not to feel okay everyday. We should be processing and accepting our emotions and dealing with them and continuing to move through life. Not push them down to suppress them. That only causes more issues down the line. Ask yourself and even write them down.

Ask yourself:

🍋Is there anything inherently wrong with me or today?

🍋Did one thing trigger me and set me in the mood for the rest of the day?

🍋Am I burnt out?

🍋Am I hormonal?

🍋What are the things that are making me unhappy and what do I do to change those things?

🍋Sometimes even physical pain can put a hamper on the rest of the entire day once it subsides.

🍋Is it some of these things today or all of the things?

The answers:

🫐 Journaling is a great way to assess your feelings.

🫐Write your feelings down and go back and look at them the next day. Set a reminder so you don’t forget!

🫐 Go to sleep and rest, start over tomorrow

🫐 Shut the world out if possible and don’t doom scroll!

🫐 Do I need a vacation?

🫐 Are my issues overwhelming and should I speak with someone?

🫐 What has your intake been for the week? Are you lacking the foods to help support your physical and mental health? Because we are what we eat.

If you have journaled- Do you ever look back at your journals years later and say…this was me? Laugh even? I’m telling you…it’s quite alright. Everything is okay and everything will be okay.

We are all growing and moving through life together daily. Take your lessons in and process them. So go ahead and not feel okay today. You are far from alone. Were are not judging you because we’re busy judging ourselves.

As of today, I fell over everything (disclaimer, I’m slightly dramatic). I’ll start with my living space, it’s too small for 4 people. I have a two bedroom and need a bigger apartment. Living in NYC with the cost of living as high as it is, it’s not so easy depending on your means. My current means are not an end to my divorced parent of 3 teenage boys life. My schedule as it stands is crazy at this time. So I have to wait for some downtime to house or apartment search. Stay strong friends.
