Let’s be real: What I wish I knew when I was younger.
I turn 38 this year and these are the lessons in life that I have learned the hard way.
💜 Personal growth insights:
The perfect life plan doesn’t exist. Be nimble, be flexible, and be scrappy. Don’t be afraid to go where the wind takes you.
Let people come and go from your life. If you’re lucky, their season may return again.
Never let anyone say to you “are you sure you can make it without him?”.
Watch how you talk to yourself. Your inner child is listening.
If you have a kids know that they hear you too.
Reaching 38 is a significant milestone that brings reflection on the past, especially the lessons learned in one’s 20s. Many people in their younger years often feel the pressure to have everything figured out, but the reality is that life’s journey is unpredictable. Embracing change and uncertainty is vital; it allows for growth and unexpected opportunities. It is essential to cultivate a healthy relationship with oneself, as negative self-talk can greatly impact one’s confidence and decision-making abilities. Understanding that our inner dialogue shapes our perception of reality helps us to be kinder to ourselves. This lesson is impactful not only for the individual but also for how we influence those around us, including children, who often mirror our self-perceptions. Furthermore, the notion of connection is ever-important. Friendships and relationships may come and go, but each one teaches us something valuable. By allowing people to leave our lives without clinging too tightly, we open ourselves up to new experiences and relationships that can enrich our journey. Ultimately, embracing these lessons fosters resilience and encourages others to navigate their paths without fear of the unknown, leading to a more fulfilling life.
