An Oregonians Favorite Spots
Looking to visit Oregon? I have lived here for 11 years and have explored all over the state. These are some of my top favorite spots that took my breath away.
1. Trillium Lake is at the base of Mount Hood. Park your car here in the summertime and go paddle boarding.
2. Samuel H. Boardman State Park: Southern Oregon coastal area full of many coastal hikes in all ability levels.
3. Crater Lake National Park: explore the park year round. Hike or drive around the rim, you choose!
4. Blue Pool: stunning 4 mile hike takes you to this majestic blue pool. It's very cold so be cautious of your going to swim here. Rated moderate so good for ages 8+!
Oregon is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, making it a prime destination for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. With a variety of attractions including rugged coastlines, expansive forests, and stunning mountains, travelers can find activities suitable for every season. One highlight is Trillium Lake, perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding during summer, while offering serene snowshoeing opportunities in winter. Samuel H. Boardman State Park boasts an array of trails with diverse hiking options at all levels of difficulty. Make sure to visit Secret Beach and witness the stunning views along the coastline. Crater Lake National Park, one of Oregon's crown jewels, invites visitors to explore year-round. Whether you choose hiking or simply driving around the scenic rim, its deep blue waters will leave you in awe. During winter, guided snowshoe tours are available, allowing you to experience the park from an entirely different perspective. Lastly, the Blue Pool, accessible via a four-mile hike, is a must-see for those who appreciate pristine natural beauty. While the water remains frigid year-round—averaging 35 degrees—hiking enthusiasts and their furry companions will find the trail rewarding. Whether seeking adventure or looking for vistas that are simply breathtaking, these iconic Oregon destinations make an unforgettable experience.
