Navigating the grief of child loss as a stay-at-home mom (SAHM) is one of the most challenging experiences one can face. The emotional rollercoaster includes moments of exhaustion, deep sadness, and the struggle to find moments of peace. From my personal experience, embracing the healing journey involves allowing yourself to feel every emotion without judgment and seeking support in both community and solitude. Life in Mexico adds a unique backdrop to this process. The vibrant culture, warm community, and beautiful environment offer gentle healing opportunities—whether it’s a quiet walk in nature or connecting with others who understand the pain of loss. Motherhood unfiltered means sharing the raw truths without sugarcoating—acknowledging that some days you might feel wasted or overwhelmed, and that’s okay. A key part of my daily coping is recognizing the need for rest when the weight of grief becomes too heavy. Flat out in bed, KO'd, is often my reality, and allowing myself that break helps me gather strength to face another day. Healing isn’t linear; it’s a continual process with highs and lows. Sharing this journey openly helps lessen the isolation often felt in grief and fosters connection with others walking similar paths.
