Donnie Darko 8/10 -
To start off, this movie was amazing. The world inside of it felt relatable so distant at the same time the characters all unique and have their own stories to them. It seems a bit random, but at the end it all ties in a way together where it's really unique but also sad. Prepare yourself good at the end just be completely puzzled.
Black Swan 9/10 -
Black Swan was an amazing movie and it covers the topics of duality in psychology, almost perfectly. It follows the main girl throughout the story and shows her struggles with trying to be perfect. Definitely some disturbing parts to this movie but if you're up for it, it's a great watch.
Perfect Blue 10/10 -
just start off, this movie is in an anime style and I know that's not everyone's cup of tea, but I think this movie portrays perfectly real life. Everyone in this movie feels relatable from the characters to simply the roles in life and how they act. This movie also covers duality and the struggles of the main girl but honestly, I thought it was a great watch. also, it's definitely not for the faint of heart, but please watch if you like that.
American Psycho 7/10 -
this movie didn't rate as high with me just because of the fact that I felt like it definitely was a good psychological thriller, but it didn't feel as personal with the character like the other movies have so far. However, I think it's still a pretty good story and you should definitely watch it if you haven't already.
Mysterious Skin 10/10 -
guys this movie is an absolute 10 out of 10, but it's also absolutely undeniably traumatizing. I can't really say a lot about it without spoiling it, but all I can say is that you definitely need to watch this, but I swear it will mess with your mind so please do not watch if you are easily shaken.
Remember, these are just my reviews so if your opinions of these movies do not line up with mine that's just a personal thing but it would be appreciated if you liked and left a comment on what you thought about this post.
